Uganda Missions Trip!! - June 3rd 2012, 06:27 AM

Ahhhhhhhhh!!! I'm going to Uganda in like two weeks!
We are going there to build a high school library and science lab puls do a clean water project!
I'm so excited/nervous!!!!
Has anyone else been to Uganda/Africa?

I am home schooled and proud of it! No, I do not like skirts. Yes, I have a social life. I'm conservative and I wear a purity ring. I am dead set on saving my first kiss for my wedding day. If you want to tell me that saving my kiss is impossible, STUFF IT.

I hear the african people are very nice - I'm sure they will remember you guys forever and the good things you did for them. Me and my mum would love to go to Africa one day to see the vast wilderness that is Africa, untouched beauty. I hope you enjoy it and be sure to tell us all about it! Pictures if possible?
Be sure to catch Kony while you're there!

When you do go, can you please take pictures and post them here. This is a really good thing that you're doing.

I'll be sure to post some! I'll put them on probably at the end of the month. Would I just put them on this thread, or start a new thread?

Re: Uganda Missions Trip!! - June 14th 2012, 09:43 AM

Hey there.

I'm so happy for you! This sounds like it will be a lot of fun, and will benefit the people in Uganda. I have not been to Uganda, but my church supports some Ugandan missionaries, and they've done a few presentations for us that I have really enjoyed.

I am also excited to see the pictures! Since it will be awhile before you post them, I would recommend just making a new thread. My reasoning is that after two weeks of no posts, the thread will close automatically. If you don't want to do that though, you can PM one of the moderators and see if they will re-open it for you. You could also include a link to this thread in your new one, so that people know where you're coming from.

Enjoy your trip! Can't wait to hear about it when you get back.

My cousin, Amy, went on a Ugandan mission trip last year! I think she might be going over again. She loved it.

Always happy to help.
