Question Best Places to Holiday? - May 31st 2013, 09:30 PM

I feel hoildayish, so I'm wondering: what are your favourite places to go on holiday?
Country, City and specific Attraction? Also, where would you like most to go in the future?

Personally, my country has to be Belgium, as I've never been anywhere else outside the UK. There are far more fascinating places I'd like to go, though: The Maldives, United States and India being among them.

Despite being in my own country, Oxford has to be my favourite city so far. It's beautiful - I'd love to go to University there, too.
I'm unsure which city I'd like to go to most, though - for the sheer novelty of all the attractions (Disneyland!) - I would like to visit Paris.

Attraction also hard, but possibly (and this maybe shows how unvaried places I've visited have been) The Tower of London.
Not sure if The Great Barrier Reef counts as an "attraction" but that's definitely something I'd like to see.

I'll be interested to see where people have been, and would like to go.

Good idea for a thread! I knew I wasn't the only travel enthusiast around here.

Country: Portugal is pretty cool! The Algarve is great to visit during the summer, and there a few nice cities/towns which aren't too busy during the tourist season, such as Tavira. In the future, I'd like to visit the United States and Germany, amongst wayyy too many others.

City: We have a tie! One winner is London. Absolutely loved it when I visited, there's just so much to see and do there. The other one is Cork. There's loads of history and culture, you're close to the scenic West Cork area and towns such as Clonakilty and Kinsale, and the city centre is great for shopping and eating out, all in a relatively small city. It's the perfect weekend break! Some of the cities I want to visit in the future include Los Angeles and Hamburg.

Attraction: It's the Tower of London for me as well. It was fantastic. I'd love to visit Newgrange if I ever get the chance.

Honestly, I've never traveled anywhere.

Country: New Zealand. Seriously, it looks beautiful from what I've seen from pictures.

City: Auckland. Best city ever.

Attraction: My best friend's there... *Ahem*, other thing, the Sky Tower. This thing is amazing, just google it to see what I mean. The rest, I love the variety of different places New Zealand has. All different types of landscapes. Beach, forest, mountains, lakes, city, small town. All in one country, that's why I wanna live there, not just visit. I also love the nightlife, it's so beautiful at night.

Definitely the best attraction in one of the best cities. London has to be my #2 favourite city.

Eh, I've been around a bit. Still not satisfied though. I'll be a complete travel freak when I'm older, haha.
