Question Moving out, need advice! - August 25th 2016, 10:28 PM

Hi, I am looking for some help. I just moved away from the town and people i grew up with for 17 years. Its my senior year and I am transferring schools for the first time. It is only my 3rd week in but i already know i want to go back. I have talked to my parents about moving back and living with my aunt and they are willing to think about it as long as i stay at my current school for 9 weeks to give it a try. I really want to move back to my old town where my other family is and my friends are but i am afraid i will miss my immediate family too much. We have all always been really close but i don't know how to figure out if i will be ready to leave. I am kind of in a situation of "pick your poison" (stay away from friends senior year vs leave family senior year) and i don't know what to do. Any help would be great! thank you

Moving when you are so close to being done with school must be tough. You have had to leave all your friends behind and you might be struggling to make friends. I think that this is a decision that only you can make but I think the question you have to ask yourself is if you can handle being away from your family. If you are close with your other family members it might make the transition a lot better. I was never close to my aunts and uncles so something like this would not work for me.

I think that waiting nine weeks is a good idea and maybe in that time you can join clubs on campus and see if that helps you to meet people.
