Question about airplanes - January 18th 2010, 04:52 PM

I've never been on one before I'm going to New York in a few months so I have a question. I know I'm not allowed a mobile phone but am I allowed to play my Nintendo DS? I just know a plane from the UK to the states will take forever >____< I'll be bored stiff.

Yes, you can take your Nintendo DS on an aeroplane. You can take your mobile too, as long as you keep it on flight mode.

You can take electrical items on planes. So long as you don't use them during take off/landing, and you have your mobile phone on flight mode or switched off.

You can't use any electrical items during takeoff and landing, but otherwise, you can play your DS. Also, since you are flying long-haul, it's likely there will be an in flight entertainment system.

You can have your laptop, MP3 player, portable DVD player, and Nintendo DS. They can't be used during take-off and landing, but they will announce when you're allowed to use them.
