Going to Europe, need help... -
June 6th 2010, 05:16 PM
I am going to be touring Europe in the end of July, it's pretty much planned and fixed what places we're going to be seeing. But what I need help is about shopping there. I'm going there for the first time and have no idea what items you can get there which are good and cheaper than here. I'm going to be going to England, France, Italy, Austria, Leichtenstein and Switzerland. So I need a list of things that I can buy from there...
Any suggestions?

Thanks Laura. I'll look them up when I go there for sure. Anything else that I can find only in these countries? Which is like native to those places?

...what exactly are you looking for? For very cheap foodstuffs, mostly German imports, there'll always be a Lidl or Aldi around, but what else?

In Austria and Switzerland, look out for the hand-carved souvenirs, you find them everywhere and they're lovely.
In France, you could go all touristy with Eiffel Towers, or stock up on perfume (<-- preferred). |

Thanks, I'll surely get some.
Some of my friends here also suggested chocolates from Switzerland. O' stranger, O' stranger You've stopped coming now. Have you forgotten your vows? O' stranger- tell me why, You left without even saying Good-bye... |

Some like them, I hate them - too nutty IMO (great souvenir though). While you're over, in France mostly try to track down Lindt chocolates, it's a Swiss company that has many French factories and they make gorgeous chocolates. Even the plain milk variety is divine!!
