carryon? - December 27th 2010, 09:26 PM

I am flying to Canada on Wednesday and I am going to attempt to pack everything in a carryon bag...otherwise, I have to pay 25$ to check luggage and it will cause more stress and anxiety.

Can I take a hairstraightner in the bag?
I am sure I can take pills, right?
I know about the bottle stuff..
What else should I know?

Thanks for the help?

Oh and the rule is I can take one carryon and a personal item (purse etc) does a bookbag count as a personal item?

To answer your question about the bookbag... Yes, I would consider it as a personal items.
Because not all guys use purses ;D
& I know when my dad travels that's what he uses a bookbag as his personal item. (:

I hope you have fun in Canada

this is a little late, but, the airline you are flying with should have a page on their website that tells you what you can have in a carryon. pretty sure all of the stuff you mentioned should be fine though
and, yes, a backpack counts as a personal item.
have a great time!! don't get into too much trouble
