Do you cry a lot watching TV shows/films? - October 24th 2014, 05:59 PM

I'm such a baby when it comes to watching sad films/TV shows :') I'll cry over anything. I was nearly crying yesterday watching a science documentary, they fixed an old man's severe tremor with ultrasound surgery and him and his wife were so happy and amazed it worked so well it made me cry :')

My friend always makes fun of me crying watching some things

My mom's very similar in that aspect. She gets touched very easily by TV programs, but I seldom find myself crying over anything. I used to quite a lot, but there's nothing that can really touch or disturb me. I guess I became numb to certain things.

Depends on my hormones

But if it’s something that I have a personal connection to, something sad or cute, then I may shed a tear, but I can’t cry when other people are watching the T.V. with me…or at least I try not to

Yes. In a lot of sad scenes I typically start tearing up.

I have trouble crying in general so watching sad things on television might touch me but it will very rarely make me cry.

I'd say once in a blue moon. It depends on what the topic is and how sad it is but I don't cry too much while watching something.

I cried out of one eye (the one my friend couldnt see) through the entire 2nd half of A Fault in Our Stars. But who wouldn't?
I also cry every time I watch Tangled (my favorite movie). Safe to say I let go of my male ego quite a bit...

Yes, I cry espeically hard if it's something I have a connection too. Like the end of Harry Potter 2 always gets me teary eyed. Anything sad with dogs. If a tv series I like ends I find myself tearing. I cried at the beginning of Brave, I guess I was happy for a different Princess movie or soemthing.

Hmm it honestly depends on the situation and how it affects me. If I really feel sorry for a certain character or can connect to them, then maybe.

It depends on how good the acting is. I can watch anything violent and gory but as soon as you shove someone who's really emotional, crying and/or someone who's died on-scene, it seriously triggers me and although I don't burst into tears, it gets me very upset and tissues are needed.

I've teared up to a few shows/movies. Usually takes a lot to make me full on cry though.

It depends...I used to make fun of my mom and grandma for crying during movies but now I do it.

For me, it really depends on the situation/issue/topic being shown in the TV show(s) and movies/films. Like if a person and/or animal dies, I would cry my eyes out. Or when something happy happens, like when someone gets married, engaged, when someone finds someone that has been missing, etc.
