I am way to terrified to see it. I don't like "the end of the world" movies. I will pass lol.

I refuse to see it because they don't mention me at all in it!!! And it's my birthday, so I'm 99% positive that I'm going to do something sooo stupid on my 20th birthday that it kills us all.
XP lol

Take me seriously.
I dare you.

Definitely! I looks so awesome!! Paranoia, I generally can get like little things to bug me, but often I can shrug them off, plus it just looks such an awesome film!

I think i'm going to go see it sometime while it's in theater. I don't really get paranoid with these types of movies, although sometimes the endings end up being really depressing.

I saw it...
and I thought it was awsome, the special effect!
wow...
I could essay point out around 5 people in the theater crying, I don't know why...
But seriously I would recommend it to anyone, I could see it again.

I'm not a major fan of end of the world movies but i saw the trailer for it in the cinema and the effects look mindblowing, so i might go see it. But its either that or the men who stare at goats.

I really want to see it. Films like that interest me because I want to know how they end it - as in how the film actually ends.

I watched it yesterday and cried several times during it. It kind of scared me because the way the world end could actually be plausible since I went and wikipedia'd things in the movie to see if they'd done their research.

The movie taught me one thing if the world is going to end, make sure you have a lot of money/you're in with the government and you'll be fine.

Saw it on premiere night with a friend and we were both shocked, the theater was half empty. Thought it was pretty well done.. the beginning was a bit confusing but overall it was one of the better end-of-the-world movies that've come out.

I want to see this becouse the effects look amazing, what annoyed was that the untalented idiot named Jonathon Ross slagged this film off on last weeks film 2009.

Stuuuuuuuupid movie. Nothing's going to happen in 2012. It relied too heavily of effects. They were good, but effects aren't all that's important... The movie failed in my opinion.

Re: 2012. - November 17th 2009, 12:32 PM

I thought it was quite a good film. It had humour, likable characters, very good special effects and lots of action. Hey, if you're looking for a masterpiece of film making then this isn't it but if you're looking for a fun and exciting action/adventure style film then yes, it's good. Even though it's about 3 hours long I didn't even notice because I was enjoying the film.

I don't think calling it stupid because nothing is going to happen in 2012 is fair. After all lots of other films are based on events that haven't, didn't or wont happen and nobody seems to hold that against them.

Hmm, well the special effects were pretty amazing. :]

Other than that I found it was just the typical world-is-ending-main-characters-are-always-one-step-ahead type movie. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the best movie either.

This might reassure you.

The Mayan's have made predictions in their calender, but it might be worth noting that the starting point equivalent of the Maya calendar is August 11, 3114 BC. There are also two versions of the calendar, Tzolkin and the Maya calendar itself. The Maya calendar (or long count calendar) does not end on December 21st, 2012. That is simply the last day of the 13th B'ak'tun (one B'ak'tun is 144,000 days (394.3 years)), and there is not another one, because we are over 144,000 days behind it the next one!!! The Maya calendar continues through to the 20th B'ak'tun. THUS, the mayan Calendar runs for 7,886 years and started 5,123 years ago. I think the next couple of generations are safe then.

Climate Change caused by Global Warming will likely do the job by 2100.

So, there's nothing to worry about, go and watch the movie knowing that lots of people have misinterpreted a calendar and the movie is just for your entertainment, like any other.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger and wiser, that in itself, is worth the fight.
