I don't know if there was a thread on this...but...

Is anyone going to see it?

I saw it tonight...it was definately the movie on the year! Amazing. The 3D graphics were just awesome.

I saw it, and agree with you. The 3D effects where awsome, they almost pop-off the screen

I've only seen it advertised, and to be honest it looks a little... odd.
I always judge movies before I see them, haha. xD
But now that you've said it's great, I may have to go see it. It does look action packed

It is, but you have to see it 3D, because like the critics have said, its better 3D....just because of the effects and graphic!

Thumbs up AVATAR!! - December 23rd 2009, 04:21 AM

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!
War...Love....Betrayal....Aliens....Sci-fi....Beauty....Anger....Suspence....
So much MORE!!
Movie of the year and i am going to see it for the second time in theatres soon....I think it breaks the boundaries of just your typical movie that you can detect the ending too "Girl finds out boy was just playing her at first but then fell in love with her so now its different so they will end up together in the end after he chases her to the airport"...lol....so funny!!...thats why i love this film....3D graphics are amazing....i went into it thinking it was going to hurt my eyes but as soon as i got into it i forgot i had glasses on and i forgot i was in the theatre.....felt like a dream ..i sound like im over exaggerating i know...but blew my mind..and im not easily impressed

I keep going to the theater to buy tickets for it, but it's always sold out! Oh well, I'll see it eventually. I heard it's almost three hours though.

I am going to see it tonight! Even though I am a 17 year old guy I still can't stand any horror in any movie. Was the movie scary at all? I am such a sissy

It isn't scary at all. Just make sure you see it in 3D, because it would be not as entertaining in regular 2D.

It is 2hrs and 45mins long, but it seriously didn't feel that long. You just get so into the movie, you kind of forget you are there and it's not real. Even though I wish it was haha.

The plot really is dancing with smurfs, but the cinematography is amazing. It revolutionized film making. I'd see it again.

Oh my gosh, I saw this yesterday in 3D. It WAS amazing. I loved it. It isn't scary at all, though there were a few moments where something surprised me and i jumped. But other then that, it was great. I highly suggest it to anyone who likes good movies.

Re: Avatar - December 29th 2009, 05:33 AM

This is the first film I have seen in 3D.

It's mind-blowing! I want to see it again, it's ridiculously awesome, haha. One of the best movies I've seen. I can't see it getting old anytime soon either, Avatar seems ahead of it's time. Fantastic plot too.

Shame someone made us late so we had to sit in the 2nd row.... Can't have it all I guess.

By the way, if you like it, RATE IT here. It's already in the Top 25!

Briana, I noticed some undertones in there. Not sure about symbolism, I'd have to watch it again!

I know i'm late but i just saw it yesterday and it was AMAZING! Amazing doesn't even describe it. It was one of those films in which you just cannot find any faults with it. I personally thought the CGI was out of this world. I got soo sucked into the whole movie i just never wanted to go back into the 'real world'. The plot was also really engaging and original! Ah a must-see, definitely

I saw it as well and I was really impressed, I didn’t think it was going to be that good - 3D was amazing and the storyline was fantastic.

I saw it in 3D. If you go to see it, definitely see it in 3D, it's the way to do it.

Visually, the film was amazing. The graphics were stunning. However, the plot didn't do a lot for me. The idea was cool, but the plot line was kind of eh. Also, it was really long (like almost 3 hours or something?). However, it was worth seeing, if only for the way it was made.

Re: Avatar - January 4th 2010, 03:08 AM

I saw it a few days before Christmas.

The 3D was spectacular. It really was.

But my friends and I could not stop laughing because the dialogue was so ridiculous. It was pretty predictable as to what was going to happen. If the writer had spent as much time on the script as James Cameron had on the effects (12 years, I think?), then it would have been one hell of a movie.

Somehow, though, the effects kind of made up for the plot. It'll get plenty of awards for effects. Don't count on a best script, though.

The detail and graphics are amazing. It was worth seeing and be sure to get good seats because you will be sitting there for a good 2 and a half hours. But the details were sooooooo good and the amount of creativity in the movie amazed me.

I saw it last week. A lot better than I expected. I went in expecting gimmicky 3D, but it was actually just extremely realistic and vivid. Pretty amazing

This is pretty much my opinion too. The graphics were so amazing. The plot was very predictable like Lana said, but the graphics really made up for it. :]

Did anyone notice the slight resemblance to Pocahontas?

Anyway, as most have already said, it was awesome. I loved it in 3D, and found myself swatting at the ashes in that one scene. So real.

Oh My God... This is probably the best movie I've seen in a really long time. I thought the plot, and it being so long was going to ruin it for me, but the effects, and watching it in 3D was well worth it. I'd easily go see it again and again.

I saw it the other week and absolutely loved it. I saw it in 3D [the first film I've ever seen in 3D!] and I definitely think that added to how much I enjoyed it. I saw it with my brother who really didn't like it. He didn't like it because of how much it was like Star Wars, but to be honest, I didn't think that was such a problem. Great film, and I would pay to see it again.
