Thirteen - February 15th 2010, 02:42 PM

My friend told me to watch it. It was quite good I think I expected a little more though. What annoyed me was them being 13, when I was 13 nobody my age acted that way at all :/ Them being about 16 would have been more believable imo.

Re: Thirteen - February 15th 2010, 03:17 PM

I totally agree. I watched this movie a few years ago and really got into it... until it got to the end. It didn't really make sense to me, the way it was just... over. But I really related to it. I think I even asked my mom to watch it with me.

And I agree that I don't think I quite got to the stage those girls were at until about 16. Definitely not 13.

I've seen this movie a few times and I liked it. I do agree that the age may have been more believable/relatable to me if the girls had been a few years older. However, i'm sure there are thirteen year olds who have probably gone through similar things, so I guess for some people it may be relatable to their own lives.

I went through a "bad" phase when I was 15/16 (not to the extent to them at all) and everyone else seemed to hit the rebelious stage at that age too. I didn't like the ending too much either.

When I was 13 I was doing some bad stuff, (SH, and drinking) but when I was 15 I tried the other stuff.. I loved this movie. It triggers badly though for me.

I have seen it but it triiggers me a lot so I try and stay away from it. Other than the triggers, ir was okay.

Personally, I really enjoyed that movie. The only thing was, as others have already said, was the age difference. Being only 14 myself, and 12 when I watched it for the first time, I didn't really identify with it. But that's just me.

Ehh. Wouldnt say it was great, wouldnt say it was bad, you know what i mean?

Although the ending was a bit rubbish tbh, and it was rather, very triggering.

I found it was ok, but could only relate to a couple of things in it. Didn't like the ending either. May not watch it again because it was so triggering.

Re: Thirteen - February 16th 2010, 04:33 AM

It was okay. I liked it and everything but I think it could have ended better and the age was a little to unbelievable. I mean, there are definitely 13 year olds that act that way but in my opinion it is more common for 16 year olds and I think I would have been able to relate better if the age were better.
