Films you've found confusing and couldn't follow - March 2nd 2010, 11:34 PM

The only one that pops into my mind is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, wow I watched the first 45 minutes and I thought my brain was melting. I can't tell if it was just me being dumb or not but I could not figure out what the hell was going on.

The Bourne Identity - I paid really close attention to it, but still couldn't figure out what was happening..
And Year One. Although I don't know if there was an actual plot to that movie or not.. which may be why I couldn't follow it.

Thought of another - I Am Legend. Very confusing.

Ocean's 12. I saw it ages ago and couldn't follow it, but I have it on DVD so will rewatch it at some point and see if it makes any more sense.
I agree with Donnie Darko. You have to keep stopping to get your head around what's going on, but I think I get it now.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was the first one that came to my head when I saw the title. I had to watch it 3 times to properly get it. There's a lot of going back and forth between time/events, which is the main confusing bit. But seriously watch it a few times, it's a beautiful movie

The sad thing is I probably would like that film. My sister loves it and we have really similar taste in films. I haven't even tried to watch Donnie Darko, I know full well it would confuse me.

I didn't find it confusing either. When I watched it a 2nd time I realised that I missed a few things but I wasn't really confused the first time. I guess I'd understand why someone would be though.

The Dark Knight confused me, too.

There is nothing pretty about damage, about pain, about heartache.
What is beautiful is their strength, their resilience, their fortitude

Vanilla Sky confused me but I wasn't really paying much attention to it when I watched it. I've heard Donnie Darko is quite confusing and it takes a few watches to get it.

Donnie Darko too but I wasn't really concentrating.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind I get why you find it difficult but personally I love that film!

I'm confused easily so pretty much everything.

But I found Click really confusing. It was like, real, then not real, then real again.. then not real.. and I have no idea how it turned out in the end.

Erm The Matrix number 2. I get the first and third one but can't follow the 2nd

I watched part of trainspotting and it was all very confusing, I don't like films like that because I can't keep up with what's reality and what's being hallucinated.

I was so confused the first 2 times I watched the Rocky Horror Picture Show but now I absolutely love it

Time Travellers Wife confused me and I had read the book. They didn't make the time very clear, it was hard to tell when he was back in real time or in the future/past.

Also 2001: A Space Odyssey, my brother made me watch it..Only thing I remeber from that is "Sorry Dave, I am afraid I can't do that"

Green Card (an older movie)

My friend dragged me to see GI Joe, it's just not my kind of movie and my lack of focus is probably why I didn't actually follow the plot...that and I was too busy being insulted by Christopher Eccleston's pathetic attempt at a Scottish accent

Definitely Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - I think my brain hurt for about a week after watching that. The movie Clue is one of my all-time favorites, I have watched it at least 50 times throughout the past 12 years, but there are still certain things I don't understand in it. I also didn't grasp Fight Club too well.

Everything sucks. Might as well find something to smile about.
