Alice in Wonderland - March 6th 2010, 01:39 AM

What did you think of the movie?

I thought it was pretty well done!

Re: Alice in Wonderland - March 6th 2010, 04:00 AM

Loved it! Thought the visuals were way better than Charlie & the Chocolate Factory; the effete blended beautifully. The entire movie had a great uniqueness and definitely absorbed the audiences into it's own "wonderland." For sure well done and one of a kind. Go Tim Burton! Except he should start varying with his actor choices one of these days... It is kinda getting redundant now.

I thought that the cast was brilliant! I wasn't disappointed by the movie, I think that it was very well done. I am absolutely in LOVE with the mad hatter. xD

I still haven't seen it. I hope it's better than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Don't get me wrong it was quite good but I much prefer Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factor.

Aaah I can't wait to see it!
I love Tim Burton, and I love the cast too.
I get all hyper when I see the adverts.

I liked it, i wasn't overly crazy about it but it was cool. The plot was a bit predictable but the visuals were amazing and Helena B. Carter as the Red Queen was fantastic as were the other cast members.

Re: Alice in Wonderland - March 7th 2010, 04:02 AM

I just saw it today with my boyfriend (we're both loyal Burton fans), and quite honestly, we were dissapointed. We're also pretty harsh with our reviews... But Alice in Wonderland is a messed up story in nature and we thought Burton could have had a lot more fun with that. Johnny was awesome as always, and Helena, and the Cheshire Cat is cute as hell, but how the entire plot and ending were spoiled at the beginning of the movie ruined it. I'm also not a big fan of excessive CGI, but hey, I'm an old school effects artist so that's just me. Don't get me wrong, it's a decent film, but it didn't quite satisfy the warped dark humor that my boyfriend and I possess and expected from such a warped story concept.

I really want to go see it but part of me dosen't now because it's getting bad reviews over here. But I think I might go and judge for myself. I love Tim Burton so I'll give it a go.

To be honest, I was disappointed. I did like the cast and graphics, but the movie wasn't as good as I thought it would be.

Re: Alice in Wonderland - March 7th 2010, 02:25 PM

I probably won't see it at the cinema and I don't like 3D films too much anyway so I'll probably wait until it comes out on DVD or I'll watch it online.

From what I've seen on the trailer it looks pretty good and I'm loving Johnny's make up and costumes.

Re: Alice in Wonderland - March 8th 2010, 05:49 PM

I was somehow expecting more from the movie.
I think the best part was that there was someone in the movies dressed as the Mad Hatter and was kinda making a show, but the movie over all was not what I exected...
