Shutter Island - March 9th 2010, 05:56 AM

Anyone seen this? What are your thoughts?

I saw it the other day and loved it, it had great acting, an awesome spooky atmosphere and a very good storyline. I was blown away by it, I definitely recommend it, it's an excellent film.

Re: Shutter Island - March 13th 2010, 01:05 PM

I saw it yesterday and I found it kinda hard to follow in places like when was he fantasising and when was he not. I'm going to read the book now anyway so I can understand it better.
In my opinion the closer it got to the end, the more predictable the ending was going to be but they didn't ruin it because the line that Leonardo Dicaprio says at the end gets you thinking about was he or wasn't he.

So in conclusion, I did like the film BUT I don't think I could watch it again anytime soon.

My flat mate has gone to see it today and me and her have similar taste in films so I can't wait to hear what she thinks of it. I think her opinion might sway me whether I go or not. I saw the trailer for it ages ago and thought it seemed pretty good. I think it's a film that I do want to see at some point, I just don't know whether I want to see it enough to pay a cinema ticket, or whether to wait until it comes out on DVD.

I saw this movie yesterday. It's slow in the beginning, but it gets pretty good in the ending. It's a thinking movie, so you kind of have to peice things together while you're watching it. I enjoyed watching it, and the ending of the movie is interesting. :]

I went and saw it...the supposed 'twist ending' wasn't much of a twist at all, sadly. You could totally guess what was going to happen. Disappointing, but the acting was alright.
