VHS - April 15th 2010, 08:47 PM

So as I sit here watching Beauty and the Beast on VHS, I was wondering how many of you still own them, or still watch them!

re: VHS - April 15th 2010, 08:58 PM

I have a bunch.

Most of my favorites are animated...Anastasia, Mulan, Pocahontas, Balto, recorded episodes of Sailor Moon :P...I sort of associate VHS with my childhood. My family has some grownup movies on VHS too, like True Lies and Rush Hour, but I had no interest in those. We actually have some really good "classic" films on VHS - but if I am ever using my VHS player, it's for my childhood favorites.

I have a few videos. Not disney ones though. I've got Gimme Gimme Gimme and a few other animated things. Like Creature Comforts, Shrek and The Simpsons. I don't tend to watch them all that much, but I don't really watch DVD's either! Still good to keep around your favourites.

We still have some in our house, but like Disney ones only.
I like to rewind them in the little machine.

I have a ton of both videos and stuff that I or my mom taped. I need either Tivo or a DVD player that will record.

We still have a VHS player here in the house. I love to pull out those old Disney movies and watch them every now and then. (Okay, not now and then. All the time. )
AND. I love the movie Air Bud. With the dog who plays basketball. It always makes me cry at this one point in the movie, dork that I am.

The only VHS I still own is Beauty and the Beast. Our VHS player broke years ago but I kept that one.
I probably always will even when I get it on DVD when it comes out in Diamond Edition.

We used to, but then my sister got a pile of Disney DVDs for her birthday, so now we watch those instead.

My VCR destroyed my Lion King tape several weeks ago I have a bunch of Disney movies on tape from when I was a kid, but the one I watched most was Mr. Bean.
