Britain's Got Talent - Season 4 - May 1st 2010, 11:35 AM

I completely forgot it started last week I had to watch the episode online last night It was good. After my friend being in the live audience of the Cardiff auditions and telling me what really happens there I don't like it as much anymore :/ He told me just how fake it really is and how they tell Simon Cowell what to say a lot :| I still somewhat enjoy watching it though. I loved this act

Despite it being 'fake' I still love it.

Re: Britain's Got Talent - Season 4 - May 1st 2010, 08:29 PM

This is banned in my house and my boyfriends this year. I did like it in the first few series but then it became just like all the other reality show. It was supposed to be about different acts but it always seems to be dance acts and singers so I got bored with it.

My boyfriend and his sister auditioned with the signing choir they are in and didn't get past the producers auditions which is ridiculous when you see some of the acts they let through like the obviously bad singers and the dancing animals etc.
I just think it is unfair how they humiliate people like that and how fake it is.

If anyone is curious this is them, they were filmed for a BBC show which was on in January.

I think if they had got through to the Judges they would have gone quite far because Amanda Holden is a bit of a softie for things like that. My boyfriend wanted to get through to the judges auditions and try to make her cry

Why has it been banned?

Because we think the show is fake and unfair so we are refusing to watch it.

It is banned in my boyfriend house because his sister gets upset that they didn't get through while a dancing pig and guitar playing dog did. We don't watch it either to support them and because we don't enjoy it.

And it is annoying how it is fixed, they let all the embarrassing and rubbish acts through to get ratings.
I just don't enjoy the programme any more in the same way I don't enjoy X factor and most other reality TV shows now I have realised how fake they are.

My friend auditioned for X Factor and didn't get passed the producers either. He isn't too bad a singer either. I agree with you, they let most people through for "entertainment value" if that mocking them or not ____ I just like watching talent shows

Re: Britain's Got Talent - Season 4 - May 4th 2010, 08:49 PM

I like watching them for entertainment - the audtion stages are funny and a bit light hearted, makes a change from all the depressing soaps and dramas on. Of course reality shows are fixed to some degree but ultimately it is about the producers making money and getting ratings, when was it ever about anything else?

Re: Britain's Got Talent - Season 4 - May 15th 2010, 03:11 PM

I do think they have too many people who are through just for the comedy value. 1 or 2 bad people is funny to watch but when you have a whole show of terrible people and then one good person/act at the end it does get boring. I sky plus it anyway and then fast forward through the ad breaks and the boring people!

I really liked the Chippendoubles - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToU3D...eature=related

Although i'm not sure what they're going to do in the next round seeing as the best bit was them revealing who they are! :/

The Arrangement was awesome, they're my favourite, they were good and still had comedy value.

And the regurgitator was interesting, I wonder what he'll do next.

I also liked the Chippendoules, apparently the Simon Cowell lookalike was the same person as the one that came to our school for our talent show "Q Factor"
