Teenagers and The Million Dollar Money Drop - January 12th 2011, 02:07 AM

I was just watching the Million Dollar Money Drop on FOX. The last question was According to a Nielsen study, teenagers spend the highest amount of time doing what activity. The answer choices were:

A. Watching TV
B. Surfing the Internet

The final fact was that teenagers do the correct activity over three times more than the incorrect activity.

The contestants had to put all of their remaining $200,000 on one answer, they put it on Surfing the Internet. The money dropped.

This took me a bit by surprise, I thought it was B too. Thoughts?

I'm watch that show as I type this but yes sometimes that answers surprise you. The other day there was a question about McDonalds, it was which sandwich is the oldest Egg McMuffin or Fish Fillet I would of guessed it was the Muffin but no it was the fish one.
But I guess I’m not surprised about that question I love to watch TV I probably see more TV than I use the internet. You also have to take into consideration that most people still don’t have internet or access to a computer. TV is more accessible at least from my point of view.

My TV hasn't been on all day. In fact, it's generally turned on only two or three times a week, if that. It depends on how bored I am.

Between my phone, iPod, and computer, 99.5% of my awake hours are spent online. (:

I'm wondering when those statistics are from...if they're within the last few years, I would think surfing the internet would be way higher. Huh.

I looked it up, the Nielsen study was from June 2009.

I think the reason is because the number of households without internet access outweighs all of us internet-addicted (AKA TeenHelp addicted) teenagers.
