Teen Mom 2 - January 13th 2011, 07:20 PM

This thread has been labeled as containing spoilers. The contents of this thread might therefore describe important elements of a storyline that could ruin it for you. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

Anyone watch it? I'm addicted to the Teen Mom and 16 & Pregnant series So I was really excited to see them following new moms.

I can't say I care for Janelle or Chelsea too much...

Janelle's mom needs to give her a good smack in the face. Did you know she ended up letting her mom have custody? She was also recently arrested for breaking and entering and possession of marijuana along with her current boyfriend. Its heartbreaking to know she has a child :/

Chelsea is the new Farrah to me. Farrah's segments were hard to watch, but she eventually grew on me Hopefully will turn out the same with Chelsea... she seems like a decent mom. But Adam Its sucks to see he's going to end up back in the picture.

Leah... wow, I couldn't imagine what she is going through with the one twin having some potential serious complications. I'll admit, I cried lol.

Kailyn is really lucky imo. I hate to see it not working out between her and Joe, but his parents still let her live there and basically treat her like a daughter. I don't think it would be fair for her to start dating while living there though.

I wanna hear everyone's though/opinions!!

Is Janelle boyfriend really in China modeling?
I just watched the first episode and I agree with you Chelsea is the new Farrah. Leah I feel sorry for her to be honest she has a lot in her plate. Kailyn is my favorite one but Joe is an ass.

I can't stand Jenelle and I couldn't originally either (should've had a spoiler tag because now we know how it turns out). I can't imagine being Leah or dealing with one baby let alone two. Chelsea needs to get over Adam, I understand he's the father of her child, but he needs to just go away and stay away. I feel bad for Kailyn that her mom isn't there for her. I miss the other girls now though.

Seriously Janelle.. really? She needs to stay AWAY from Jace. I read online that her mother currently has custody of him and i hope to god it stays that way. She is NOT fit to be a mother. She just gets on my nerves. I like Leah, and Chelsea the best. Kailyn's boyfriend Joe is a jerk.

I think Janelle is more like Farrah because of the fighting with her mom and all the drama. Though in honesty, I don't like Janelle's mom, because whenever she would actually take care of her kid, Janelle's mom ripped the child out of her hands. So, really they are both wrong.

I like Leah the most and it was sad when the father of the twins was crying and stuffs.

Grrr I want it to come out in the UK! I'm desperate to watch it. Watched every other episode of 16 & pregnant & teen mom.

I understand why... but I hate how they focus so much on these girls drama filled lives.

I wish sometimes they would focus more on how hard it is to take care of a baby and how difficult it can be to get used to having a new baby around.

Instead they focus more on how having a baby "ruins your life." For me it was harder to get used to the idea that I'm now a mother and raise a child than it was to motivate myself to finish school and work on things with my boyfriend.

The fact that they're able to create an entire show of this and then manage to make huge amounts of money off the idiotic British public really shows the state of our society today. I'm going to go and rage in a corner though.

I'll admit, I watched it.

But I think it's totally stupid that MTV is glamourizing (sp?) teen pregnancy.

I don't that its glamorizing it tbh. Maybe I'm weird and I'm the only one that thinks that but after that show i would NOT have wanted to be a pregnant 16 year old. O_o too much chaos and drama.

I agree completely. They show too much happyhappy stuff about pregnancy. They don't share too many hard stuff.

Janelle is driving me insane! I can't believe how rude to her mom she's being. shes lucky that her mom is helping take care of the child... She shouldn't be shouting and pushing her mom around the way she is. She kinda reminds me of a mix of Farrah and Amber.. since Farrah had problems with her mom, and Amber was abusive..

I agree that after watching it it makes me glad I'm not 16 and pregnant. I don't think it glamorizes it at all. It gives a good insight of the challenges those teens have to go through.

Yeah, you could say that about pretty much any reality tv show Believe it or not a lot of girls can actually relate to this show.

even dr. phil thinks its glamorized. he did a show with girls who are moms at a young age and hearing their stores definately proves how fake teen mom can be. he brought a 16 yr old girl who is pregnant on the show and he taught her how expensive things will be and everything. things that teen mom doesnt do. don't get me wrong, i do watch the show, but still.

I agree with this. And while I am no longer a Teen, it makes me grateful that I didn’t get pregnant when I was a teen and that I am not pregnant now and can enjoy my twenties until I am ready to have a baby.

I know the girl that was on the show. i have talked to her online- and you know how staged and everything that was. She said he was incredibly rude to her- and her family. He said things that they even had to edit out - so I'm not one to "trust" Dr. Phil.

hmm? how did you "talk" to her online? I dont think we are talking bout the same thing. Even so, he was right. she had no idea how much everything would cost to take care of her baby. She only got pregnant cause she thought it would be 'cool'.

I don't care too much for Dr. Phil...

...but I definitely see where you are coming from. Like I said earlier, they are way too focused on the girls drama-filled lives (relationships with boyfriends, going to school, getting a job, hanging out with friends etc.) and hardly focus on how they fare financially, how they felt/and deal with being a teen mom, things like that. It was really hard for me to adjust to being a mom, and they hardly show that aspect on the show at all.

I didn't cry, but I did feel very uneasy watching the discomfort they were causing Ali whenever they tried to touch or straighten out her leg. God forbid, but does anyone else think that she could possibly have cerebral palsy?

i dont think she was, she is young and is clueless, I bet. I am glad that she asked her mom what to do and was responsible about it.

i am not sure that its cerebral palsy, just because that all doesn't match up right, though, it is deffinately something with the spine.

Re: Teen Mom 2 - January 19th 2011, 10:22 PM

Finally MTV uploaded the 2nd episode. I didn't cry when Leah took her baby because that's want comes when you have a baby sometimes babies have medical issues it's just something you sign up for when you decide to have a baby. Even though I do think she is a good mom and is trying to make the best with Corey I hope things work out between them. Joe is such an idiot god each time he opens his mouth he is saying dumb things "I don't hate you I just dislike you" seriously? And then he gets made because Kailyn starts dating. Chelsea should for now should not even consider going back with Adam after all he put her though and the texts he send her, I’m pretty sure her dad won’t approve of it. Jenelle made the best move for her when she moved back with her mom, she is unemployed and doesn’t have enough money to support her son, she should just be glad her mom gave her a second chance.

Janelle is really good for signing over temp custody!

I like seeing Leah back together (sort of) with whats his face. I like them together.

They have to wait two more months before they can have an MRI done because their daughter is too young :/ I'm anxious to know.

I'm not even going to try and cover up my addiction.
I love watching the show, but I also love watching bringing home the baby, a baby story, and I didn't know I was pregnant.
I think I just need to hurry up and have a kid already, haha

Anyways, I love that Leah is trying so hard to get back with Cory, they really are a great couple together.

Adam is a dink, Chelsea is stupid for even considering it. After that text message he sent her, calling her a stretched marked bitch and saying their daughter was a mistake, wtf, seriously!? She's so young and naive.

Also, I agree with the above stated, they SHOULD show you how hard it is to raise a baby and how difficult it is to get used to have a child around. It's too bad they focus so much on the other drama for the sake of making a show.

Look at the stars, instead of the dark
You'll find your heart shines like the sun

I think I actually felt sorry for Janelle last night She got stuck with a pretty shitty mom, but if she wants to prove she can be better than that she is doing a bad job...

And its about time Joe and Kail got kicked out of the house (atleast Kail anyway). If her and Joe weren't planning on being together she had no business living there. Plus, what was she thinking applying for school and then having no way to pay for it? Because she knew Janet, Eddie, or Joe would bail her out?

I have to be honest, I felt horribly for her.
Her mother is a bitch.
She really needs to step up, though, I agree.

I felt horrible for Jenelle. Her Mom is worse then her. She's so RUDE.

Kail is dumb, i would not someone take my child 2 hour away to a different state without me, maybe its just me It seemed like she didn't even care.

Adam is bad news, which is probably obvious now. Her Dad was right all along
