Scary Movies. -
January 26th 2011, 06:45 PM
I swear to god, I'm the only girl who actually enjoys watching scary movies.
![]() Anyways, what's the scariest movie you've EVER seen? I think mine would have to be REC. It's the original version of Quarantine and it isn't all dumbed down. Scary shit right there.
"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, “Dear Jim: I loved your card.” Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it." |

Pffft you're not the only girl
![]() I have Rec on my to watch list. Scariest would have to be, ummm, I don't know really. I'm going to say The Crazies. It's one of those films where you anticipate there's going to be a jumpy part so you spend the whole movie on the edge of your seat...and then...the jumpy part never happens ![]() Not many films scare me though, they mainly just creep me out. Like Orphan creeped me out. ![]() |

I LOVE scary movies.
I'm more in to psychological thrillers though. Things like saw just cringe me out. ![]() Three little birds sat on my window, and they told me I don't need to worry. Ooh, I really wanna see Martyrs. And August Underground. I know, I'm sick.
ooh, the Guinea Pig series wouldn't be bad either. Torture porn ftw.

Movies don't tend to scare me anymore. Paranormal Activity #1 however, made me jump numerous times!
Case 39 was VERY well done and VERY suspenseful. And I will take you in my arms, and hold you right where you belong. Til the day my life is through, this I promise you.121109 |

Really? I kinda laughed all through Case 39.
I didn't think it was all that great of a movie. But then again, I really don't like Renee Zellwegger.

Paranormal Activity left me literally shaking, and I don't usually get scared at movies. I think M Night Shyamalan used to be great at creating a creepy atmosphere (I'm a big fan of Signs and The Sixth Sense), but he's lost his way.
I enjoyed Silent Hill for what it was, though it wasn't really scary. Movies like Saw and Hostel don't even deserve to be called scary. They're not, they're just disgusting and boring. Saw I and II were okay. |

I didn't think the Blair Witch Project was scary...simply because the big 'scary' thing at the end was just that guy standing in the corner. And I started laughing cos it looked like he was taking a piss.
Plus it made me dizzy

Devil was alright. I thought it was gonna be scarier
But it had good acting, so I just sorta appeased myself with that.

I thought Mirrors was averageish in regards to scariness. The first time I watched it I was quite scared, spent most of the time hiding behind my friend's scarf...but then I went back in the cinema to watch it again straight after xD

Oddly some 'really scary' movies bore me, while others that bore other people scare the shite out of me, like Paranormal Activities 1&2, and Blair Witch Project.

Oh geez. That movie was really funny the second time I watched it, seeing as there was like a giant bunny or some shit. Oh, and the slo-mo shot of that kid raging. LOL.

Most likely. There was too much gore in that movie for it to be really scary.

I also love the movie It by Stephen King and Silent Hill. Both weren't just a bunch of gore or startling parts, they both had a creepy factor.

Silent Hill was pretty scary. It was a reeeally well-done adaptation of a video game.
