A Clockwork Orange - February 21st 2011, 09:17 PM

I decided to re-watch this film last night, I think I appreciated this film a bit more after a second viewing. My first reaction was "" (summed up in a smiley ) I found the dialog a little hard to follow more than anything.

Most people I know either love it or hate it. I know a lot of people who claim it's too sick/violent. I don't really see it like that, sure it IS sick and violent but I perceived it as more to do with morality and free-will.

Anyway, good film in my opinion

Anyone else like it?

By the way, it's probably not the best film to watch if you're triggered by rape/abusive scenes.

I liked that movie not for the gore but for its message. Many see the violence and think that the direct is just a sick person and mentally ill. However I found the colloquial language quite clever and the fact that many of the words are Russian to make his slang more unique was clever. This was never about the violence it was originally the book that was more to challenge a readers view then anything.
