Supersize vs Superskinny - March 22nd 2011, 10:35 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of eating disorders, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

Does anyone else watch this?

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/s...vs-superskinny

I watch it quite a lot. I've been watching the episodes with children recently. I find it interesting

I don't advice anyone with an eating disorder to watch any of these episodes by the way. There's a lot of calorie counting.

I watched it once. Its not really my type of show. I was more just thinking WTF is wrong with these people.

I saw a few clips of it on the internet. The part where the host shows the audience what they eat from day to day in that tube machine, always makes me sick for some reason.

Knowledge is half the battle.

I used to watch it a lot, For some reason I strangely found it appealing. I never knew there was one about kids though, that seems a bit excessive for kids.

Re: Supersize vs Superskinny - March 23rd 2011, 04:14 PM

i saw it on the tv last night, it was interesting.

the girl who always seemed unbreakble finally
BROKE
the girl who seemed strong
CRUMBLED
the girl who always laughed
CRIED
the girl who never stopped trying finally
GAVE UP

she let her fake smile fade and as she did a tear rolled down her cheek and she whispered

' i can't do this anymore'

Yeah I watch it... it freaks me out though because I don't know how to maintain a sensible weight and I don't want to end up like either people...

Honestly, this show doesn't gross me out. It's more disturbing.
But I honestly find it kind of interesting.

I was looking for a breath of life
For a little touch of heavenly light
But all the choirs in my head say, no oh oh
