Thor - April 29th 2011, 11:52 PM

I loved it . I mean, they actually managed to get across the whole magic/technology mix that I so love in the comics. I mean, like, for example, for those who aren't familiar with it, in the first issue of Thor ever published, he's fighting aliens. I always like how the meshed norse myth with science fiction and over-the-top superhero cheese. Plus it had the Warriors Three xD. And as a fanboy, I object to how the Sif-Thor romance was only hinted at, though I guess that's since they didn't include how in the comics Thor shares a body with a mortal doctor and Jane is doctor's romantic interest. I like also though, how they made references to the other recent Marvel movies, since it's nice to have that sense that they're not ignoring the fact that this is the world where the Hulk rampaged through New York and Iron Man is...well, you know, busy being Iron Man.
Also:

Spoiler:

The post-credits scene...Loki controlling the guy and HOLY SHIT FURY HAS A COSMIC CUBE *nerdgasm*. And I remember seeing some promotional material for the Captain America movie where the Red Skull had one... Ooooh....shiny mcguffin is shiny.
I completely geeked out at that point. >.>.
Like...Loki, basically, is The Reason for the Avengers forming in the comics, and I like how they're keeping that.

What does everyone else think?
