American X-Factor VS UK X-Factor - November 12th 2011, 10:34 AM

I'm from England, and should really support the UK X-Factor, but American X-Factor has soo soo much more talent - and it's so obvious!

take my hand now, we'll run forever, i can feel the storm inside you, i'll stay with you

The US version is greatly superior in every way. Watching the results show last night, I literally didn't want anyone to go so I was nervous for everyone. They all have such talent, they all seem like lovely people deserving of the winning prize, and they're all giving it their all. They should show it over here on a Saturday night instead of our version because it is real family friendly, Saturday-night entertainment - great atmosphere, friendly banter between the judges, high quality performances...

And what do we have? A bunch of crap, novelty acts, and a cocaine snorter. We have judges who think what is standing in front of them counts as talent, but this year literally is glorified karaoke. Yeah I like Janet, but I like her cuz she reminds me of Ellie Goulding who I love. The rest of the acts are ridiculous. Is this the best the UK can offer? And the judges are childish, immature moaners, and their negativity is really off putting and unprofessional.

The American one is better in every way.

Re: American X-Factor VS UK X-Factor - November 12th 2011, 04:48 PM

This years UK X factor is, to be honest, boring. It more about the judges disagreements than the talent. The themes are never stuck too. For example, singing Ke$ha on rock week.
A lot of really talented people got kicked off and rubbish ones went through... all because they have something called 'star quality'. In my opinion, it's all a load of bullshit.
They put through controversial acts to drum up media attention and then whine about how much bad press everyone's getting.

Simon Cowell was the best thing about the x factor. Now all we have is an ex manager of Westlife, a rapper who thinks sticking a few guitar rifts into a song makes it Rock and an American has-been.

Saturday night TV is, quite frankly, shit.
