Music for a bad day - August 27th 2017, 02:33 AM

Hey all!
So I thought we can make a playlist of sorts here, of songs that help you get through a bad day. Maybe they'll help someone. Also please mark triggering songs

My list (triggering in red):

Suicide Note part 1 By Pantera
Chop Suey by System of a Down
Let the Guilt go by Korn
People = Shit by Slipknot
Snuff by Slipknot
Here come the tears by Judas Priest
While we sleep by Insomnium
Help by Papa Roach
Last Resort by Papa Roach
Nothing else matters by Metallica
The Bleeding by Five Finger Death punch
Sing for the moment by Eminem
Numb by Linkin Park
Fade to Black by Metallica
Hard to See by Five Finger Death Punch
What if I was nothing by All that Remains
What lies beneath by Breaking Benjamin
Beyond the realms of death by Judas Priest

PM me if you ever wanna talk. Send a message my way.
And remember, you matter. You're awesome. You're beautiful. Stay strong, the world will get better.

May The Force be With You.

Rachel platten has a lot of uplifting songs.
Uncharted by Sara Bareilles. I used to listen to that song on replay years ago.
Addison road has some great songs. One of my all time favorites is 'sticking with you'.
JJ Heller has some good songs. I really enjoyed 'What love really means'.

Those songs are all kind of happy or upbeat. JJ Heller is a tad bit sad but I did like the message.

Other music:

Three days grace - I love Never too late- that might be triggering though.
Breaking Benjamin- I love 'Follow'
Linkin Park
Rise against
Some Kelley Clarkson - Because of you is one of them

That's all I can think of at this point in time. I don't really have favorite songs for the artists I listed. Most of their songs help me when I'm struggling.

Re: Music for a bad day - September 4th 2017, 12:36 PM

I have a specific playlist that I listen to on the day I have therapy. Definitely helps me get through those days, but I'll listen to it on any other bad day as well. I also listen to guided meditations on bad days, but those aren't technically music. I'll just list my favorites from my playlist!

Fear - Blue October (my absolute favorite song)
Hate Me - Blue October
Into the Ocean - Blue October
Picking Up the Pieces - Blue October
Rise Up - Andra Day
Waving Through a Window - Dear Evan Hansen
Take Me to Church - Hozier
Demons - Imagine Dragons
I Was Me - Imagine Dragons
Imagine Me - Kirk Franklin (potentially triggering for abuse, especially if you watch the music video)
Carry On - Manowar
Courage - Manowar
Fight Song - Rachel Platten
How Far I'll Go - Alessia Cara
Brave - Sara Bareilles
Something Inside So Strong - Labi Siffre
Here Comes The Sun - The Beatles
Home - covered by Charlie Peck
River Flows in You - Yiruma
Concrete Angel - Martina McBride
(potentially triggering for abuse, especially if you watch the music video)

“There is nothing beautiful about the wreckage of a human being.
There is nothing pretty about damage, about pain, about heartache.
What is beautiful is their strength, their resilience, their fortitude
as they display an ocean of courage when they pick through the
wreckage of their life to build something beautiful brand new,
against every odd that is stacked against them.” — Nikita Gill
