So happy my dad has showed me all the great METAL of the 80s. Love when i can get a few of my friends that are in the 40s and 50s rocking out at the bar with me at only 19. If you grew up in the 80s and had the pleasure of this when it first came out. I envy you.

I'm even younger than you, so can't say I experienced the concerts of glorious 70s/80s, lol. I listen to metal, but mostly not the famous bands, so it's not that hard to get tickets.
I don't really have much interest in 80's metal. I prefer 90's onward. In my mid to late teens I preferred symphonic metal like Nightwish (the Tarja days), Xandria (when Lisa was the front singer) and Epica as well as Kamelot (with Roy). I do like others such as Pain or Ayreon, though much of anything else is often one or two individual songs, or rock that doesn't fit into the metal sub-genre.
I adore metal and it's very sad that rock and metal music is getting more unpopular or transforming into different -cores.
Classic rock or like music is so rare now
