I know that the bridges that I've burned along the way Have left me with these walls and these scars that won't go away And opening up has always been the hardest thing
Until you came
So lay here beside me, just hold me and don't let go This feeling I'm feeling is something I've never known And I just can't take my eyes off you
I love when you tell me that I'm pretty when I just wake up And I love how you tease me when I'm moody, but it's never too much.
I'm falling fast, but the truth is I'm not scared at all
You climbed my wall
So lay here beside me, just hold me and don't let go Oh, this feeling I'm feeling is something I've never known

Step out the door and it feels like rain
That's the sound on your window pane
Take to the streets but you can't ignore
That's the sound you're waiting for
If ever your world starts crashing down Whenever your world starts crashing down That's where you'll find me
Yeah God love your soul and your aching bones
Take a breath, take a step, meet me down below
Everyone's the same
our fingers to our toes We just can't get it right
But we're on the road
Lost till you're found
Swim till you drown
Know that we all fall down
Love till you hate
Strong till you break Know that we all fall down
If ever your will starts crashing down Whenever your will starts crashing down
That's when you'll find me

Please stay, until I'm gone.
I'm here, hold on
To me I'm right here, waiting
And take
My one last breath,
And don't forget
That I will be right here
Waiting
Blink 182, "Not Now"
I feel really lovey today. This song makes me so happy though. I have the polyphonic ringtone on my phone. I listen to it when I'm happy, sad, or whatever. Sooo good. There's always an occasion.

Hey dad
I'm writing to you
Not to tell you That I still hate you
Just to ask you How you feel And how we fell apart
How this fell apart
Are you happy out there
In this great wide world
Do you think about your sons Do you miss your little girl
When you lay your head down
How do you sleep at night Do you even wonder if we're alright
But we're alright We're alright
It's been a long hard road without you by my side
Why weren't you there the nights that we cried
You broke my mother's heart
You broke your children for life It's not ok but we're alright
I remember the days you were a hero in my eyes
But those are just a long lost memory of mine
I spent so many years Learning how to survive
Now I'm writing just to let you know I'm still alive
And she fights so you won't ignore her,
'cause thats her biggest fear.

Keep your head up gorgeous,
they'll kill to see you

We had written
We would sit down And start again
From the beginning
It was finally time To stop whining
And start doing
Anything, something To make them believe we were living
And we kept on bleeding
Long after the signatures
Dried on the paper
I stole from
Melissa's Macbeth
And oh how I needed so much to believe in it
Isn't it sick how I thought that I knew you to death?
How romantic
Ushering in the new year
With our childish antics
And now soon after The gullible glimmer of hope turned to sarcastic laughter
And we were intelligent people with eyes in our heads It's astonishing, is it?
I thought you were just plain shy
Oh, quiet kind of guy
With the banner man waiting
Behind every corner
A delicate soldier, the loner How lonely was I?
There is still time
We could still try It's very difficult
When no one's there to
Catch you in the rye
You kept saying
That the black out of godsend At least it made living worth hating You kept taking the bad with the worst
Like some curse that your mother was making
Oh and isn't it funny years later We'd look at it broken and shaking our heads laughing
If we had known back then what trouble it would bring
To actually want to create something beautiful
Now we've turned into those pitiful people
Too scared to touch
And drinking way too much
Oh, its typical isn't it?
Say it, you cynically asked for it
Didn't we ask for it?
Didn't we want to be lesser and lesser?
Didn't it, didn't it, didn't it..
There is still time
We could still try

Because I could see us holding hands
Walking on the beach, our toes in the sand
I could see us on the countryside
Sitting on the grass laying side by side
You could be my baby
When I look at my lady
Girl, you amaze me
Ain't gotta do nothing crazy
See all I want you to do is be my love.

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,
Blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
Did they get you to trade
Your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
And cold comfort for change?
Did you exchange
A walk on part in the war,
For a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found
The same old fears. Wish you were here.

i'm wearing thin.
i couldn't tell you, the city i'm in. the streets and the buildings. the places i've been.
or where the stars go, when it's daylight again. Or where the time went.
Oh, who can save me now?
When you can't find your way home,
and when life gets too hard to face on your own.
I will stand as a light through the darkness unknown,

I know, should realize
Time is precious, it is worthwhile.
Despite how I feel inside,
Have to trust it'll be all right.
Have to stand up to be stronger.
I have to try to break free
From the thoughts in my mind.
Use the time that I have,
I can't say goodbye, Have to make it right.
Have to fight, cause I know
In the end it's worthwhile,
That the pain that I feel slowly fades away. It will be all right.
You have me.
Until every last star in the galaxy dies.
You have me.

slow down, lie down,
remember it's just you and me. don't sell out, bow out, remember how this used to be.
i just want you closer,
is that alright?
baby let's get closer tonight
grant my last request,
and just let me hold you.
don't shrug your shoulders,
lay down beside me. sure i can accept that we're going nowhere,
but one last time let's go there,
lay down beside me
oh, i've found, that i'm bound
to wander down that one way road. and i realize all about your lies
but i'm no wiser than the fool i was before.
i just want you closer,
is that alright?
baby let's get closer tonight
grant my last request,
and just let me hold you.
don't shrug your shoulders,
lay down beside me. sure i can accept that we're going nowhere,
but one last time let's go there,
lay down beside me
oh, baby, baby, baby,
tell me how can, how can this be wrong?
When all your friends have come and gone,
And the sun no longer shines,
And the happiness for which you long is washed away like an ocean's tide,
When all the hard times outweigh the good,
And all your words are misunderstood,
When the day seems lost from the start
You must follow your heart,
You must follow your heart.

And I'll be begging you, baby
Beg you not to leave
But I'll be left here waiting
With my heart on my sleeve
Oh, for the next time we'll be here
Seems like a million years
And I think I'm dying
What do I have to do to make you see
She can't love you like me?
Why don't you stay
I'm down on my knees
I'm so tired of being lonely
Don't I give you what you need
When she calls you to go
There is one thing you should know
We don't have to live this way
Baby, why don't you stay?
You keep telling me, baby
There will come a time
When you will leave her arms
And forever be in mine
But I don't think that's the truth
And I don't like being used and I'm tired of waiting
It's too much pain to have to bear
To love a man you have to share...

The valentines I never knew,
The Friday night charades of youth,
Were spent on one more beautiful...
And those of us with ravaged faces,
Lacking in the social graces,
Desperately remained at home,
Inventing lovers on the phone
Who called to say, "Come dance with me",
And murmured vague obscenities...

Good Day by Jewel
I say to myself
Self, why are you awake again? It's one a.m.
Standing with the fridge wide open, staring
Such a sight, florescent light
The stars are bright
Might make a wish, if I believed in that shit but
As it is, I might watch TV
Cause it's nice to see people more messed up than me
I say to myself, as I smile at the wall, just let myself fall
It's gonna be all right, no matter what they say
It's gonna be a good day, just wait and see
It's gonna be alright, cause I'm alright with me
It's gonna be, it's gonna be, it's gotta be
I shiver, shut the door
Can't think standing here no more
I'm alone, my mind's racing, heart breaking
Can you be everything I need you to be?
Can you protect me like a daughter?
Can you love me like a father?
Can you drink me like water?
Say I'm like the desert, Just Way Hotter.
The point of it all
Is that if I should fall
Still you're name I'll call
It's gonna be all right, no matter what they say
It's gonna be a good day, just wait and see
It's gonna be OK, cause I'm OK with me
It's gonna be, it's gonna be
As long as we laugh out loud
Laugh like we're mad
Cause this crazy, mixed up beauty is all that we have
Because what's love but an itch we can't scratch, a joke we can't catch
God, but still we laugh
Get back in bed, turn off the TV
You say "It'll be alright baby, just wait and see."
It's gonna be all right, it's gonna be okay
It's gonna be all right, just wait and see
Its gonna be all right, no matter what they say
Its gonna be a good day, just wait, just see
It's gonna be okay, cause I'm okay with me
It's gonna be, it's gonna be, it's gonna be okay...
Uh oh, I'm awake again
It's one A.M.
Staring
Such a sight
Well, at least the stars are bright
This is how it ends
We believe every lie & say we'll still be friends
How long will it last
Before we scratch all the scripts & rework the casts

Running is something that we've always done well
And mostly I can't even tell what I'm running from
Run from their pity, from responsibility
Run from the country and run from the city
I can run from the law, I can run from myself
I can run from my life, I can run into debt
I can run from it all, I can run 'til I'm gone
I can run for the office and run for my cause
I can run using every last ounce of energy
I cannot, I cannot, I cannot run from my family
They're hiding inside of me, corpses on ice
Come in if you like but just don't tell my family
They'd never forgive me, they'd say that I'm crazy
But they would say anything if it would shut me up

I'm half alive but I feel mostly dead
I try and tell myself it'll be all right
I just shouldn't think anymore tonight 'cause
Dreams last so long
Even after you're gone
I know you love me
And soon you will see
You were meant for me
And I was meant for you...

I've always been able to relate to one song and one song only it's an Adema song. It's lyrics are actually about the lead singers drinking problems, and how he constantly gave in to his evil temptation. But to me 'giving in' was my dark side, my depressed and suicidal tendencies. This song has helped me a lot. The Lyrics are as follows:
Will you, walk me
To the edge again
Shaking, lonely, and I am drinking again
Woke up tonight and no one's here with me
I'm giving in to you
Take me under
I'm giving in to you
I'm dying tonight
I'm giving in to you
Watch me crumble
I'm giving in to you
I'm crying tonight
I'm giving in to you
Caught up, in life
Losing all my friends
Family has tried, to heal all my addictions
Tragic it seems, to be alone again
I'm giving in to you
Take me under
I'm giving in to you
I'm dying tonight
I'm giving in to you
Watch me crumble
I'm giving in to you
I'm crying tonight
I'm giving in to you
(Oh fuck)
I look forward, to dying tonight
Drinks 'till I'm myself, life's harder every day
The stress has got me
I'm giving in
Giving
Giving in, NO!
Take me under
(I'm killing all the pain)
I'm dying tonight
(i'm sick of all this pain)
Watch me crumble
(I'm killing all the pain)
I'm crying tonight
I'm giving in to you
Take me under
I'm giving in to you
I'm dying tonight
I'm giving in to you
Watch me crumble
I'm giving in to you
I'm crying tonight
I'm giving in to you
Take me under
I'm giving in to you
I'm dying tonight
I'm giving in to you

This is your show;
You're playing all by yourself.
Cinderella, are you really that happy?
Cinderella, are you really that lucky?
I wanna know, where is my happy end?
All I hear is what you want,
I wouldn't care but it's all I've got.
Why does it still snow in the spring?
Why don't you like the songs that I sing?
Why can't I get any satisfaction out of the things that should bring me happiness?

I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
Oh God it feels like forever
But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head
'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
All I know is that it feels like forever
But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head
How do you feel? That is the question
But I forget you don't expect an easy answer
When something like a soul becomes initialized
And folded up like paper dolls and little notes
You can't expect a bit of folks
So while you're outside looking in
Describing what you see
Remember what you're staring at is me
'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
All I know is that it feels like forever
But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head
How much is real? So much to question
An epidemic of the mannequins, contaminating everything
We thought came from the heart
But never did right from the start
Just listen to the noises
(Null and void instead of voices)
Before you tell yourself
It's just a different scene
Remember it's just different from what you've seen
I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
And all I know is that it feels like forever
But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head
'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
And all I know is that it feels like forever
But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head
And it's the stars
The stars that shine for you
And it's the stars
The stars that lie to you, yeah
And it's the stars
The stars that shine for you
And it's the stars
The stars that lie to you, yeah
I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
Oh God it feels like forever
But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head
'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
All I know is that it feels like forever
But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head And it's the stars
The stars that shine for you, yeah
And it's the stars
The stars that lie to you, yeah
And it's the stars
The stars that shine for you, yeah
And it's the stars
The stars that lie to you, yeah yeah
Who are the stars?
Who are the stars that lie?

well she won't leave this night alone
and she won't sleep at all and all the sorrow that she takes out on herself
it comes around and leaves her bleeding on the floor
and she knows, yeah she knows that there's a lot of ugly things about this world
these street lights, they shine bright, as they illuminate the darkness of the pavement
they shine, as we try to write in on her arms, the love she longs to taste and we'll find that inside, that she's a broken heart that anyone can save it's alright, it's alright, it's alright
feeling worthless, self-destruction try to take control of this
find a purpose, reconstruction
write it somewhere it will stick
and stars are hiding now
but there's something out there still
and she knows, yeah she knows that there's an awful lot of beauty in this world.
the stars are always there but we miss them in the dirt and clouds
we miss them in the storms
remember hope
we have hope

I can't describe I can't believe
How i feel inside
I know i just met you
The other night
But i've never
Felt anything
That's felt so right
I want you to
Take my Lips
And make them yours
Take my fears
And let my heart soar
Cause i've never felt
Like this before
So won't you
Take my lips
And make them yours
I can feel your body
Next to mine Everytime i close my eyes Everytime
I feel your breath up on my skin
I can't wait to be with you Again and again
So won't you take my lips
And make them yours Take my vision
And let my heart soar
Cause i've never felt
Like this before
So won't you Take my lips
And make them yours
And I
O, I wanna take your body So close to mine I wanna take your body
And make love
Last for all time
I wanna make sweet love
To you, baby So would you take my lips
Take my vision
I want my heart to soar
Cause i've never felt
Like this before So take my lips
And make them yours

Nobody told you that a heart is like a deep, deep freeze, So many lies, so much of it broken.
And nobody told you deep within a well so cavernous, That maybe I could shed some light on
Who would have thought, it could be this amazing?
Who would have thought, the tiny courageous? Who would have thought, that love so belated,
Could save me, and bring me back to you.
And nobody told you there'd be days of silence that no one heard, A river swells and overwhelms you.
And nobody told you deep within a heart so ravenous, That maybe I, could spare a beat for
I had to find you, had to let you know,
That you aren't alone,
We didn't make the the rules, I had to find you, had to get right back to you It's always been you

I wanna lock you up in my closet when no one's around
I wanna put your hand in my pocket because you're allowed
I wanna drive you into the corner and kiss you without a sound
I wanna stay this way forever I'll say it loud
Now you're in, and you can't get out
You make me so hot
Make me wanna drop
It's so ridiculous
I can barely stop
I can hardly breathe
You make me wanna scream
You're so fabulous
You're so good to me baby, baby

The real truth about it is there ain't no end to the desert I'll cross
I've really known that all along
Mama here comes midnight
with the dead moon in its jaws
The neon burns a hole in the night, and the Freon burns a hole in the sky.
You can find my kind living right on the fault line, eyes on the seaside, lives on the B-side, kites on the power lines.

I don't know why I instigate
And say what I don't mean
I don't know how I got this way
I know it's not alright
I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream But now I have some clarity
to show you what I mean"
"I wanna heal, I wanna feel what I thought was never real
I wanna let go of the pain I’ve felt so long
(Erase all the pain till it’s gone)
I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I’m close to something real
I wanna find something I’ve wanted all along
Somewhere I belong"

Retrace every wrong move that I made I would
If I could stand up and take the blame I would If I could take all the shame to the grave I would
If I could change I would take back the pain I would
Retrace every wrong move that I made I would
If I could stand up and take the blame I would

Remember condescending talk of who I ought to be
Remember listening to all of that and this again

And now you think this person really is me"

Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
Don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
Forgetting
All the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well
Pretending
Someone else can come and save me from myself I can't be who you are"

Imagine a place you can always escape to
An island off the coast of nowhere
A new destination of your own creation
Just waiting till you choose to go there
Blue tree tops and velvet skies
Blue ready to blow your mind
Oooo
This is a place where your mind can escape
All the problems today and go far, far away
This is a time with no history
Welcome to mystery
Imagine a city where everythings pretty
And you sir, you rule the kingdom
You call the shots you can do what you want to
Oh just imagine the freedom
Blue tree tops and velvet skies
Blue ready to blow your mind
Oooo
This is a place where your mind can escape
All the problems today and go far, far away
This is a time with no history
Welcome to mystery
Blue tree tops and velvet skies
Blue ready to blow your mind
Oooo
Imagine a room where the flowers they bloom
Through the cracks in the floor and the ceiling
Just you and the missus and roses scented kisses
My, what a wonderful feeling
Oooo
This is a place where your mind can escape
All the problems today and go far, far away
This is a time with no history
Welcome to mystery
This is a place where your mind can escape
All the problems today and go far, far away
This is a time with no history
Feel no misery
Come and visit me
Welcome to mystery

Don't do love, don't do friends I'm only after a success
Don't need a relationship I'll never soften my grip
Don't want cash don't want card Want it fast want it hard
Don't need money
Don't need fame
I just wanna make a change
I just wanna change
I know exactly what I want and who I want to be
I know exactly why I walk and talk like a machine
I'm now becoming my own self-fulfilled prophecy
Oh no!
One track mind, one track heart If I fail, I'll fall apart Maybe it is all a test Cause I feel like I'm the worst,
So I always act like I'm the best
If you are not very careful Your possessions will possess you
TV taught me how to feel Now real life has no appeal
It has no appeal
I'm gonna live I'm gonna fly
I'm gonna fail I'm gonna die

Many things make me cry The desolate rain
Clouds billow across my sky The desolate rain
I can't remember
The sound of my own laugh
And I can't remember
The reason I had to smile
And I can't remember
Things that would make me happy
I've forgotten the feeling
What it's like to be...
A small flower grows
Pushing between paving stones
Petals wide open to drink in the sun
The sky is dark and all that comes
Is my desolate rain
I can't remember
The reason I had to smile
And I can't remember
Things that would make me happy
I've forgotten the feeling
What it's like to be...
Many things make me cry
A fleeting memory of smiles
The echoing, fading laugh
A longing for happiness You make me cry
I can't remember
The reason I had to smile And I can't remember
Things that would make me happy
I've forgotten the feeling
What it's like to be...

When you go
Can you come and find me?
Wanna be beside you
When you leave this town
I've been waving goodbye
Pretending not to cry
I want to be someone
If you take me away
All the pain will change
Into a memory
Of when we were amazing
When we were amazing
