September's Children (Make it Stop) - April 11th 2011, 02:21 AM

Sorry if this seems pointless, but I recently realized the message behind the song (I'm dense, don't judge me ) and it's been inspirational to me ever since and I figured I'd share it to try and lift some spirits:

Basically it's a song supporting homosexuality so I thought it fit here (feel free to move). And it's Rise Against, so how can you go wrong?

OMG!! I was going to make a thread on this too!!

Not sure if you know, but the song is about the 9 Teens who committed suicide last September, hence the name "Septembers Children". I listen to it every day since it came out, has a strong message.

Tyler Clementi, age 18; Billy Lucas, age 15; Harrison Chase Brown, age 15; Cody J Barker, age 17; Seth Walsh, age 13; Asher Brown, age 13; Raymond Chase, age 19; Felix Sacco, age 17; and Caleb Nolt, age 14 all took their own lives due to bullying for them being gay.

That's when I solidified who I was, and began to get more involved. I am now the Activities Director for my High Schools Gay-Straight Alliance, and sent in an application to be a Youth Ambassador for GLSEN. I am more determined than ever to fight and end bullying and harrasment and be there for those who were.

Satanism is not a white light religion; it is a religion of the flesh, the mundane, the carnal - all of which are ruled by Satan, the personification of the Left Hand Path.

"Love those who deserve your love, instead of love wasted on ingrates!"

"If a man smite thee on one cheek, smash him on the other!"

"It's too bad stupidity isn't painful."

GAY PRIDE!!!!!!

Oh yeah, I know all this now, but the first few times I had heard it I was just listening to noise and didn't pay attention to the lyrics. Such a mistake

Hey Jack.

Since this thread is essentially about a song, I've moved it to the Media and Entertainment forum.

Feel free to PM me if anyone disagrees.

Nothing in the world is
the way it ought to be.
It's harsh, and cruel.

But that's why there's us - champions.
Doesn't matter where we come from,
what we've done or suffered,
or even if we make a difference.

We live as though the
world is as it should be,
to show it what it can be.

I'm burning out like a bright light, I wasn't ready for this. You're adorable as hell, but I'm glancing at your wrist.

I was looking for a breath of life
