Hollywood Undead - May 8th 2011, 11:13 PM

Holy crap I love this bad! Discovered them on youtube! Downloaded their discography (usually download them, pick my favorites, then buy my favorites via Itune) But hell their awesome. Any one else like this metal-rock-rap(which I find very unique) good?

Indeed. Even thought, sometimes they tend to swear which sometimes annoys me. But I love most of their songs regardless of the vocabulary integrated in the song. Too bad Deuce is not there anymore. I really like how he sings. Anyways, their masks are one thing; Awesome!

All depending on their songs. Some are just plain vulgar. Other are good.

You'll be disappointed when/if you see them live.

I loved Hollywood Undead until last summer I seen them in concert with about ten other bands. They were one of the like 8 bands I was looking forward to seeing, and when we all stood up in excitement when they came on, my entire group and half the stadium sat back down in disappointment. They're terrible, and you can barely understand them, and they (SPOILER) lip-synch all of their songs. You can clearly tell that their lip synching. I know a lot of people these days do that, like Usher, but that's because he dances and sings. They just trampede on stage like their some big shot, and walk around screaming into the microphone.

Needless to say, I did not enjoy them live, and no longer like listening to their music due to that.

Re: Hollywood Undead - May 9th 2011, 01:05 AM

I'm surprised you were surprised by that. I've listened to their first album and read interviews with them. I don't get their appeal at all. Like, at all. They swear constantly, they're vulgar, they have this hard-man gangster image which is actually just stupid. Their fanbase appears to be young teenage girls who don't know any better and guys with long fringes who think they're the shit.

This band actually does get me pretty worked up, because they're a part of this "scene" that thinks it is the coolest thing to ever happen. It's not big, it's not clever - everything about them is childish and immature.

When they toured the UK, they had Escape the Fate supporting them. Funny how they chose a band that sounds nothing like them to go on tour with. The connection? The fans. ETF are just as a bunch of idiots as this lot. With their swooping hair and focus on image as opposed to the actual music, everything about both bands is superficial, has nothing to do with the music, and they attract the same bunch of people. Music should be about art, not a stage for the vain who would sooner promote debauchery and stupidity than anything worthwhile.

I think I need to go take a chill pill.

I do agree with the part that they swear constantly. Though, I prefer their older songs (being the songs in the "Swan Songs" album). I guess just expanding my reach about music (I am more into metal-rock). Anyways, I am not at the point of going to see them live. Though I do like some of their songs. Some are just too vulgar.

I totally get what your saying. When I went to see them, I went to see them at a concert with like 10 other bands. They were the only ones that were like rap-rock. Is that even a genre?
When I seen them, they were playing (I don't know who you may have heard of, but here it goes Story of the Year, Janus, Puddle of Mudd, Seether, Three Days Grace, Coheed and Cambria, Saliva, and then I believe they were the only other band there (As Hollywood Undead). They so did not fit in there. It was crazy stupid. I was so disappointed after liking their songs off of Swan Songs. I'd never ever want to see them live again.
