Skillet - May 12th 2011, 03:22 AM

I do not know if any body has heard of them (probably yes considering how good they are) But I really like Skillet. Especially "Looking for Angels". Anyways, what are your thought on Skillet?

I'm not actually a huge fan of skillet to be honest. I do like some of their songs though.

I like quite a lot of their songs. Some of my favourites are 'Hero', 'The Last Night', and 'Imperfection'.

Nothing in the world is
the way it ought to be.
It's harsh, and cruel.

But that's why there's us - champions.
Doesn't matter where we come from,
what we've done or suffered,
or even if we make a difference.

We live as though the
world is as it should be,
to show it what it can be.

Switchfoot, Underoath, The Devil Wears Prada, Norma Jean...

Rather predictably, not many of them are good either.

Re: Skillet - May 14th 2011, 05:22 PM

I'm a huge fan of Skillet. I never heard of them until my friend went to a Shinedown concert, and they were opening for them. Right after the concert he told me, "Hey, there is an amazing band called Skillet, know you'll love them, check them out asap!!" So I did and he was right - I love them. Yesterday I was walking around outside and I saw these guys sitting in the back of a truck drinking beer and they had "Hero" playing on their iPod...made me smile haha. But yeah, I love Skillet.

They're amazing! I almost went to their concert (I actually have the tickets), but there was a blizzard and we couldn't get down there.
I love most of their stuff but I'm not a fan of the Invincible album.

I listened to 2 songs by them so far: Monster and Hero. Based off those 2 random songs, I don't care for this band at all, ignoring the fact they're a Christian band.

Those songs are okay, but you should listen to some of their older stuff. You might like it better.

What's your favourite song from their older material?
