I love Sigur Rós a lot. One of my favourite bands. They're beautiful in either tragic or uplifting ways, depending on which album you listen to, and I love the variety and development they've shown over the years. Hopefully now that Jónsi's stopped touring we'll get a new album and tour soon.
I love Mogwai as well. They don't have the synth or orchestral elements of Sigur, they just have a traditional rock band set up, yet they still manage to make some powerful music. Plus they're Scottish so that always helps ![]() I've also listened to a fair bit of The Album Leaf and Jeniferever, but not enough to really comment on them. I love what I've heard though. |
