Hahah awh.
I used to hate songs with screaming in them. Honestly, even if it only had screaming in it for like 2 seconds I would hate it.
It's grown on me a lot though.

Lol, a few years ago I would of been into it, But I pretty much grew out of the whole scream vocal scene.

Hahah I never saw myself ever listening to this kind of music, my best friend loved it and I would always get into arguments with her about it because of how much I disliked it.

I love AA, this boy I sit next to in a couple of classes was talking about them to me and asking if I know them, when I said no he played me a bunch of songs - we didn't even get caught for listening to music in class - and now I love them! Xxx

I liked them back when I was obsessed with post-hardcore/metalcore bands, but actually like very few of either of those genres these days... I found them pretty good back then though if that means anything

I think he did, there was this incident a couple of months ago where he showed up at a gig fucking off his face and he could barely perform or something.

Re: Asking Alexandria - July 23rd 2011, 12:19 AM

Asking Alexandria are fucking awesome. Their new album isn't as good as their last one, not because of their change of direction, just because the songs don't have any hooks, there aren't any brutal ones, that Dedication one is just embarrassing and... yeah, it's alright. Morte el Dabo is one of my favourite songs of the year, Breathless is great too.

But their first album is a work of Metalcore genius. Perfect. Every single song is just <333
Listened to both their albums on the way home from France today, although their first one more than the second where I had to skip a few tracks.

Although they're not quite as good as BMTH who are just absolute Gods of metal.
There Is A Hell... is one of the best metal releases this side of 2000, I think. Every song other than the last one is literally perfect.

These guys have announced a pretty big UK tour, with some pretty impressive sized venues so I thought I ought to actually listen to them. I've been apologising to my ears for a while now. Not for me.

Try "If You Can't Ride Two Horses At Once...You Should Get Out Of The Circus" - great, great song.
What don't you like about them? (The Final Episode isn't for everyone)

What ahaha, I am in love with AA's new album!

It's alright. It's not that I don't like the direction they're going in - it's very good, and I hope they continue, it's just that they didn't write many good tracks in that style. Morte et Dabo is one of my all time favourites, Breathless is pretty good, Someone Somewhere is adorable, and the intro gives me an explosion in my panties. But other than those 3 and a half? Sure there's some pretty good ones, but there's mostly songs that COULD have been excellent but aren't quite there.

Take, for example, Dear Insanity. Starts off incredible, the intake of breath followed by that scream? Again, instant panty explosion. carries on pretty well, verses are going well - but then the chorus kicks in and it just ruins the entire song.

Another, A Lesson Never Learned. Starts off very good, seems like it's going to be a really good moshpit one. One of the most epic songs I've ever heard, mostly. The screaming at the beginning, followed by the violins... holy shit I could actually have sex with that song. It's just... perfect. To start with. Up until the chorus. And again, completely ruins the entire song. "Could be the end of the wooooooorld. (woooooah) wasting my life awaaaaay!" and that's it. It's not catchy, it's too strung out, the singing doesn't fit. I love the beginning, and I just listen up to the chorus and I've set iTunes to just stop the song at that point.

They just seem to have had a great idea and performed it really badly, if I'm honest. I still find myself listening to the original album constantly as I absolutely love every single song on it - seriously, there is not a song on there that I can find fault with. But I'm definitely invested in the direction they're taking and thank God they've found a good image for themselves!

There Is A Hell.. is debatably the best metal record of the past 10 years. I would argue it is, as every single song, bar the last, is absolutely, 100% flawless. It has raw skill, passion, deep lyrics and a mixture of both melodic and hardcore so there's something for everyone. It's an absolutely flawless album in my opinion - their first was terrible (except for Pray For Plagues, that song is just fucking badass). Suicide Season was decent, and certainly an incredible step up from Count Your Blessings - but There Is A Hell.. just takes them to a totally different level. Should have won so many awards.

I love AA's new album, ESPECIALLY Dear Insanity, ahdfidkojld that song is perfect. I love the chorus, Danny's clean vocals are amazing.
A Lesson Never Learned is a bit of a let-down though, it's not the best song on the album.
I've never really liked BMTH, Oli basically yells instead of screams (didn't he fuck up his voice or something? ) but yeah, their recent album is okay.

I do really like their album.. it just annoys me how it could have been so much more than it was!

I really like his yell. It's not screaming as in AA's sense of screaming, but it's very different and unique, and I think it adds to the songs. And no he didn't fuck his voice up, if you watch some live videos he can still scream Pray For Plagues perfectly, and on a number of songs on the latest like Visions there's some really good growls. Recent album is perfect in every way! Listen to it all the way through! xD

Their new album is perfectttt.
Oh, I heard that the reason why he like yells now is because something happened to his voice.
Like I said their recent album is good, I do like some of the songs but his voice just irritates me sometimes.

Danny wrote on Facebook that the Kerrang interview was bullshit/made up or something.
