Many times I've wanted to just squee about something exciting that's happening which happens to be music related, yet haven't had a place to do it. So hopefully others have the same urge every now and then. Do that here
 But also, I feel like I don't ALWAYS keep up to date with things. I just found out about Florence + The Machine's new song. So, if you find out some news, a new release, a tour, an album release date, anything like that, post it here to keep us all informed. I know, I know, it was an epic fail.
Florence is hit and miss with me. I like that new song, and I love Drumming Song from her debut album, but not everything is as good as those two. Honestly, this thread is as much for me as anyone else. I've been falling behind on new music and some news lately so if someone hears an exclusive, I want them to share it  When it comes to new music, the best thing around right now is Moves Like Jagger!

I like that RHCP song. I need to check out the new album, it's getting good reviews.
In other, mostly British-orientated, news, Take That have said they're going on a 2 year break and a possible end to the band due to infighting because of Robbie's return. Good riddance. Robbie's a prat anyway, never should've let him back. |

OH MY GOD I'M WITH YOU CAME OUT TODAY. Seriously, everyone needs a copy of this album.
It is so fantastic. Although Factory of Faith really should have been the first single, Raindance Maggie was a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the album.

So I went to Headstock festival this weekend. It was pretty amazing. There was tonnes of local bands and it was honestly the best time I've had in ages. The weather was gorgeous, a tad windy, but lovely
I met some bands and listened to loads more. Kappa Gamma were a band I met. They're kinda Indie and I'd listen to them any day. They're great live and were recently signed to a record label. It sucks that they don't have anything on you tube, but they're on SoundCloud. I also met a guy called Sam Garrett. He's acoustic and his lyrics and voice are to die for. Also listened to a brass band (I know what it sounds like... But it was kinda greek sounding) called Musika. They were so funny. And all of the crowd was going crazy. They were dancing... Like greek dancing bahahaha. It was awesome :3 |
