Learning the guitar... -

I'm 15 years old and all of my friends who play the guitar have been playing for years, but I'd love to give it a shot. I've always loved the art of guitar playing from a listeners perspective and I'd like to see if I'm any good. I also need something to concentrate on other than computers, and I think this might be a positive focus for me. My main question is.. am I too old? Have I missed the boat? When I pass my first exam in sixth form and I go up and get my Grade 2 certificate, that might be a bit embarrassing..
I thought about you for the rest of the day. Catching my head turning to find you again. I hated myself for it. |

15 is not that old, I just picked up on the drums about a month ago and I'm way older than you
 and have ZERO experience with music. The key thing here is to really focus if you really want to play the guitar I usually like to watch videos on Youtube and follow along but also try going by yourself you will also learn a lot that way. Listen to a song you like and play along it by touch. Tell us how it goes.Good Luck. Everyone is born right-handed. Only the greatest overcome it. |

You're not too old. I only started guitar when I turned 14. I haven't done any grades in it and I don't plan to
 And just think of your grades as an achievement and not a competition... everyone does things at a different pace! |
