Question movies that freaked you out - April 8th 2009, 04:54 PM

ok...i was woundering what are the movies that freaked you out the most, you know the ones...the ones where afterwards you cant sleep at night or give you nightmares, the ones you'll swear never to watch again. and how did it affect you

mine are:
  1. speacies
  2. prom night
  3. Qurantine
those are my top three that i can think about at the moment.

after watching speacies i had such bad nightmares that i woke up screaming n my dad come in n got me out of bed but i was still haveing the nightmare awake

prom night: just watched it and now i have all the lights on and i dont wanna go to sleep anymore (i was nearly asleep befor i started watching it)

qurantine: i had nightmares 4 3 days and on the 1st night i woke up choking myself...i was dreaming that a rabies infected zombie thing was choking me...i was sweating like crazy...i didnt end up going back to sleep 4 the rest of the night.

if i can think of any more of mine ill add it.

so what are your most freaky movie?

That's all I can think of right now.

Signs is the only film that scares me so bad I can't watch it. Hmm Mirrors creeped me out a bit the first time I saw it but now I quite like it. The adverts for The Strangers and Haunting in Connecticut scare me a lot though, if I'm in the house on my own I have to mute it and close my eyes.

'The Grudge' made me a bit scared afterwards. I couldn't get that freaky noise the person makes in the film out my head. Also, the girl from 'The Ring' freaked me out with the hair over her face and her walking out the TV.

Scary movies just aren't my thing.

Ha ha, something about Species is hot.

Not movies, but shows too.

The Outer Limits
I don't really remember everything, but I think there was this episode about robots and humans... Yuck. The idea of them mixed... Yuck.

The Devils Rejects/House of A thousand Corpses the first and maybe second time around.

El Charro
Mainly gore movies freak me out.

I agree, Prom Night was pretty lame. All my friends were hiding their eyes during it and I almost laughed at some parts.

The only movies I can't watch are the "Saw's". Actually I've only seen SawI and SawII but I could barely finish them. Gahh I hate 'em.

I hate scary movies. If I watch them, I can't sleep for days. I'm pathetic.
Every single one I've watched scared me.
Which would be... Halloween, Chucky , The Silence of The Lambs. Creeeepy.

I saw 'one missed call' a few weeks ago, not something widely thought scary and it has haunted me at least until a week after.

The Uninvited was creepy, I nearly screamed in the cinema and I was so jumpy! 28 Days Later had me huddled up in my bed in fear lol.

Both of those movies were really creepy. I hated it how in The Grudge that woman disappears in her bed because my bed is my safe place lol

I was legit creeped out during, and after, watching The Strangers. I was on a date and you should have seen me driving home afterward. I was so jumpy and it was storming, a lightning storm at that, and it was pouring cats and dogs (so bad you couldn't even see the road) and I was like... EEK! I wanted out of that car and in my bed. *shudder*

Dead Silence, we all watched it when we were in hospital and I refused to go outside in the dark. I usually don't get freaked out by horror movies but that really gave me the creeps. Especially as the hospital hardly had any patients in on that day.

When I first saw Scream, I had nightmares that the killer was trying to kill me, tho I wasn't scared by the film.

Mars Attack when I was 8 or so.

Mirrors sort of scared me, but only that bit with the woman in the bath. Ew.

The Strangers. That freaked me out only because it could totally happen.

Yeah, it was Skeksis, the Landstriders freaked me out more, them and the Garthim, I have a dislike for a movie, I cant think of what it's called though. It has these weird things happening, like they find this stone thing, and the play a game of "Light as a feather, Stiff as a board, and then a big hole appears in the back yard. And then their dog dies, and it gets buried in the hole, and then demons start showing up, it was weird.

An American Haunting. I just hate ghost movies, and that one really freaked me out.
I never saw the movie but just the trailer for The Girl Next Door (2007) was creepy. I ended up looking it up to find out more about it and I had a nightmare the next night. The story behind it is horrible.

Definitely Hostel 1 + 2 - I really recomend that you don't eat anything before or during watching these - bad mistake i made!

Rec also freaked me out - that's the spanish version of Quarantine especially the thing - if you've seen it you'll know what i mean, hopefully

Horror films don't really freak me out, just ones that are quite likely to happen in real life like Hostel!
