Calling bassists! - April 9th 2009, 06:33 PM

hey, I've had the same strings on my bass since I got it an embarrassingly long time ago and believe it is finally time to replace them as it will no doubt make it sound better!

so I'm perusing the interweb and I'm confronted with three brightly coloured options
  1. Regular Slinky
  2. Extra Slinky
  3. Super Slinky
  4. I've since found Hybrid Slinky
  5. and Power Slinky!
could someone please explain what the difference is between them other than the actual thickness? if at the end of the day they're all tuned to the same notes what affect does it have?

cheers!

I used to be indecisive... but now I'm not so sure
