Any good bands? - April 28th 2009, 01:09 PM

So I'm kind of bored with my music right now. I'm really into alternative music. Does anyone know any good bands?

Firstly, I'm going to move this to Sports and Entertainment, as I feel it fits in that forum better. [:

In regards to your question - I recommend Last.fm for finding new bands for a certain genre of music. I've done a search for you on the site, and here is the link to the alternative radio, which will play songs tagged as alternative, for free. You're bound to find some new bands that you like on there. It's a pretty good site, in my opinion.

I'll come back and edit my post later and add some more bands, that I can think of. (I can't think of many at the moment. xD)

Happy listening. =)

No way are some of those alternative. Sabbath, Megadeth, Anthrax, and Slayer. Heck no. I listen to those, and those are oldschool metal/rock.

Alternative is really just a broad marketing term...there's too much it encompasses for me to suggest something.

What bands do you like right now?

I just found this sweet band called Sail by the Stars. They're amazing, and toatally unknown.
Other good bands- Vampire Weekend, The Decemberists, The Wombats, The Shins, The Dandy Wahols, and The Bravery.

A really good place to find music is Myspace.
