Movies/Books? - July 12th 2016, 12:34 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

What are some movies or books about either self harm, suicide, anorexia, alcoholism, or drug abuse?

I believe I can only contribute two. Everything else was already mentioned above, but for movies one that I didn't see mentioned was Barefoot which is more about mental health than anything. and for books, I did not see Crash Into Me by Albert Borris which is about suicide. There is also Annie's Ghosts by Steve Luxenberg (but I don't necessarily recommended it unless you want to do research on the history of mental health and mental hospitals). It really just shows what mental hospitals were like before our time and how families would handle other family members who had a mental illness.
