S. Darko - May 26th 2009, 10:08 PM

This thread has been labeled as containing spoilers. The contents of this thread might therefore describe important elements of a storyline that could ruin it for you. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

Being a huge Donnie Darko fan, I ran out and rented S. Darko, which is a sequel to the movie. S. Darko stands for Samantha Darko, which is Donnie’s little sister. It is set something like seven years after Donnie dies. Honestly I was really excited to see this. But it was nothing like I expected. The movie didn’t make sense to the point where no one really knows what happens. They never explained a main plot in the story, and it was over all disappointing. Did anyone else watch this, how did you feel? And who do you think was murdering the children?

My thoughts on who murdered the children:

Spoiler:
I think it was the crazy Christian women and the pastor and here is why. Sam finds Truddys bracelet near the dead kids, and it has the key on it that opens the gate to get to the dead kids. Truddy told Sam that they need to “save the children before they spoil” and when she lost her bracelet she ran to the pastor to tell him. In the alternate reality where Correy dies, and Sam lives, after Sam finds the kids, she tells everyone that Truddy did it, and Truddy denied it saying that she had her bracelet, but the one she was wearing was blue and not purple. The blue one was the one that the pastor gave to Sam. So, all in all, I think Truddy did it, and the pastor knew about it. What do you think?
