Discovery Channel - June 6th 2009, 05:55 PM

Anyone else a fan of the Discovery Channel?

I love Time Warp (EVERYTHING looks cooler in super slow motion, seriously) and Mythbusters. I loved the "Human Body: Pushing The Limits" series, and the one about life on the ocean floor (can't remember the name!).

I like how the Discovery Channel is entertaining/interesting without being the kind of stuff that completely rots your brain.

So what are you favorite Discovery Channel shows?

I like the history channel and discovery channel. I've recently found myself searching for more and more parts of Jurassic Fight Club on Youtube. It's AMAZING. I've liked dinosaurs since I was a little kid, but some of the facts that they bring up on this show is great. Did you know there was a dinosaur called Nanotyranosaurous, and It's goal was to kill of all the young T-rex to eliminate competition. Wow.

Mythbusters is really cool. I like National Geographic, Shark week =) When it comes to wars though, I can watch World War 2 programs for quite a long time.

I think I remember one of the episode where the guy in Man Vs. Wild hides inside a dead camel.

Ew.

I love Mythbusters, Scrapheap Challenge and American Chopper.

Air Crash Investigation is also really cool. I find it really interesting, my Mum hates it because she is scared of flying and they are going on holiday in a month so it makes her nervous.

EDIT: I find it really cool that this thread is all girls. I feel like such a dude when watching Discovery Channel. Most of the time I start watching the shows because my Dad watches them and then I find them interesting and get hooked. It is a great bonding thing for me and my Dad.

Hah, I do the SAME EXACT thing with my dad. It's usually discovery or history channel, or hockey.

But I never really thought of it as a guy thing. There's loads of interesting stuff on there that could be appealing to anyone.

I don't watch any certain shows, but if there's nothing else on TV discovery channel will usually reel me in with whatever they have playing.

I love Discovery Channel!

I like Time Warp only because the stuff in slow-mo is so cool.

Mythbusters isn't as cool as it used to be. But I still like it.

Ohhh, Time Warp is my favorite show on the Discovery Channel. I also like Cash Cab and How it's made. I'll watch anything on the Discovery Channel. I find myself watching the history channel or the science channel a lot too. And planet green.

We were made to be courageous.

Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache
You think it’s more than you can take
But you're stronger, stronger than you know
Don’t you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining

I love the Discovery Channel. And the History Channel. I'd sooner watch these than most channels, honestly.
