Thumbs down Futurama :| - July 20th 2009, 04:37 PM

Delete this if there's already a thread for this, but okay, so Fox are reviving Futurama, it's a fact... and it sounds like it should be awesome news, but now. They're trying to replace the complete original cast with new actors and actresses
It's just wrong! The cast is what made Futurama so great in the first place! And surely Billy West voices so many characters (Zapp Brannigan, Fry, Professor Farnsworth, Dr. Zoidberg etc) that without him it'd be a completely different show...
your thoughts?

i really hope they dont, i love futurama and i think that a complete revamp of the cast will not be well liked by most of the people who watch futurama, being said i didnt really find the newer 4 part episodes they bought out recently very funny at all

Although not a big fan, I do watch the occasional episode and I have to agree, replaceing the characters is well....wrong. I believe it should be original casting or it not be the same.

I don't think they'll actually replace the voice cast, i'm sure they'll come to an agreement on the salary demands of the original cast. They should know that nobody will watch without the right voices.
