(500) Days of Summer -
September 20th 2009, 09:12 PM
Seriously, I saw this today with one of my oldest friends and it was bordering on "Juno" levels of favouritey goodness.
It was funny and lovely and sad all in one. Both the main actors were AMAZING. And plus the whole attitude of the film reflects so much about how I feel about love. "It's not fate. If it happens it happens. If it doesn't just have fun." Anyone else seen it? You can't move mountains by whispering at them. Take a look at my art here: http://attemptedart.tumblr.com/ |

Oh gosh, I want to see this sooo bad....although pretty much the only reason being that Zooey Deschanel is my celebrity crush. Oh, what a beautiful, beautiful woman......*drool*
anyway, yeah, I'm glad it's good. Can't wait to see it

I liked it in general. Some parts I hated, like the singing dancing happy scene, wtf was that? Some of the humour was distinctly American, and in a British cinema the entire audience kind of went "Err...." But other parts I loved - "Autumn". Hehe. And the days and how the weather changed depending on whether it was a good or bad time. And the twist. So overall I liked it -- but not on the same scale as Juno.

IT WAS SO AMAZING!!!
I saw it in art theatres before it came out in the mainstream ones, and proceeded to see it three times... haha. 21 dollars later, I am now asking for the soundtrack for my birthday.I loved the IFC-style indie elements with the varied paneling, animation, and graphics. It was a great independent movie. I highly suggest it to all

I'm so excited to see it!!!!
I've been waiting for it for ages, I first saw the trailer on Jamie Tworkowski's (TWLOHA) blog and it looked awesome. I'm making my best friend take me to see it next week. He will hate every minute of it I'm sure, but I went to see The Fast and The Furious with him... so he owes me ![]() I'm really glad you guys are saying its good because I'm so excited

The guy I went to see it with wanted to see it without being called an idiot by his friends. He absolutely loved it said "one of the only Rom-Coms he would ever consider seeing more than once and/or buying on DVD".
I loved the indieness of it. That was mainly what I meant by Juno greatness, that fact that it's not a mainstream "normal" movie. Good tiiiiimes. Go see it all of you! Zooey and Joseph are both stunning and amazing. You can't move mountains by whispering at them. Take a look at my art here: http://attemptedart.tumblr.com/ |

Yeaaah funny story I went to my local video store and asked for it and the guy working there gave me the most deadpan look ever and was like, "It's not out yet."
SO EMBARRASSING lol cause I'm a movie freak. So shit like that is just...ugh lol. Regardless, can't wait to see this movie. Love JGL ever since I saw Mysterious Skin and Ten Things I Hate About You |

I watched it last night and I loved it ^_____^ as you can tell by my avatar
It reminded me a lot of Juno too. Am I the only one who was happy that it ended the way it did? I love bittersweet endings and I liked knowing he was ready to move on.

Different from what I was expecting, but I liked it.
