I need your help! YULE BALL 2009! -

Pretty much, there is a Harry Potter Club at my high school (100+ members and counting). It is wildly popular.
Well, it is my senior year and I have been appointed by the "Headmaster" to be in charge for the Yule Ball. We just decided to have it; we weren't sure at first, so we are kind of short on time. We have a few places in mind where to have the Ball, we have the money to rent the places AND a decent amount of extra money (I couldn't tell you the exact amount) for decorations, food etc. My question to you is: What should our Yule Ball have? What are some fun things to do with this? We want to make it as amazing as possible (especially me because I'm a senior and this is probably my last Yule Ball  ). Any ideas are welcome!Thanks all. I'd move to Rockferry tomorrow

I wish our school had a Harry Potter club! A Yule ball is a fantastic idea.
Some things you could have: -live band (if you can get one, I would say this is a must) -a dance floor/large space for people to dance -decorated tables (if you are having a meal, you could have fancy cutlery and plates, if not, then maybe just a nice centerpiece) -prizes for best dressed/best dancer, things like that  The great artists of our time are the ones who created something timeless. But it was never them defining it that way. Everyone has a story. What's yours? |

This is AWESOME.
I want a Harry Potter society at my school *stomps feet* I guess seeing as you're not magick and stuff it would be difficult to have the Potter-esque floating stuffs and floating glittery bits... but you could always go for the traditional Christmas decorations Trees and stuff and stuff. But make everyone come dressed Potter-esque... and take pictures for us. THIS IS SO AWESOME. You are the one, the one who lies next to me, Whispers "hello, I missed you quite terribly" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ |
