Being Human - February 9th 2009, 07:57 PM

Has anyone seen this?

I've only seen one episode of it but I can't wait to watch the next one it's really good.

"Being Human is a British television drama/horror series, broadcast on BBC Three. It stars Lenora Crichlow, Russell Tovey and Aidan Turner as three twenty-something characters trying to live a normal social life, despite being a ghost, a werewolf and a vampire."

I like it. It is funny and occasionally a little bit scary and gross. I think it is a cool concept for a show but I think it could have been done better if it was on BBC 2 instead of 3 and it may have got a bigger budget.

Mock the Week. Is. Brilliant. Seriously, my friends were watching it, and then I watched it and fell in love. As for Being Human, I don't know. I feel it could be a bit funnier. I don't like the whole serious supernatural approach. That said, I did like the first episode, and kind of drifted about the rest. Don't get me wrong, I want to like them, but I'm not as hooked as I would like to be. I like the werewolf character, he's sweet, and the little heatwarming moments are endearing, but it's just a little bland. The plot's slow and, I don't know... it just doesn't entertain me as much as I thought it would when I heard about the concept. Maybe I'm not in a werewolf/vampire/ghost mood, eh? The moments of angst irritate me. I like to laugh, I don't watch television for the angst or the drama.
