Photography - a window - May 9th 2010, 05:18 PM

Hey me again lol. Anyway does anyone else find this window into Iranian life fascinating and eye opening, especially when there is so much bad press about it:

That's a pretty interesting site in general.

And some of the photos were well done. Props to whoever is doing that.

This record broke on its own.

I really think it is important to see a country from as many angles as possible. Personally I think Iran is a very misunderstood country, unfortunately it's negative present is taking over from it's fascinating and beautiful past. It still has beautiful people though, and hopefully the newer generations will do a better job when they take over. So I'm glad you lot appreciated the share
Oh here are two cool videos of Iranian muscians
http://www.iranian.com/main/video/2010/may/farvardin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSRmV...layer_embedded (I don't think it's them singing - still funny though)
I also recommend reading Sufi poetry
It truly has a rich culture, and who can forget Persian carpets!

Life is a waterfall,
we're one in the river,
and one again after the fall.
We drink from the river,
then we turn around and put up our walls.
When you lose small mind,
you free your life.
When you free your eyes,
eternal prize.
