I think most people will have heard of My Chemical Romance.
I was a major fan of I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love and I believe that it will always be one of my favourite albums.
Three cheers was alright though nowhere near as good as their debut album. The Black Parade was disasterous in my opinion, to be quite honest. I only listen to their first album, now and i'm not too bothered about them, I find them way too "hyped up".

I agree.
I listened to their new song- Desolation Row. It's not them, and it's more pop punk now.
I'm not a big fan of their fast-paced up-beat songs.

I love their second album, but The Black Parade was disappointing.

I was a huge fan when I was in middle school, but have since grown of out listening to them, and to be honest they haven't really done anything to regain my interest. Their newest CD was horrible, and not nearly as good as either of their other ones.

I used to be a huuuge fan. So huge I was almost crying with hysteria when they were on the telly. But I just kinda grew out of them, I guess.

Their first album was definately the best. The lyrics are heart-stopping. Their second album was the one I heard first, and the one that got me hooked. Their third was okay, but it wsn't great. I heard desolation row and I actually had to switch it off, I couldn't understand what Way was singing...

I won't touch their third album. "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" is a pretty fun album, but I just couldn't stand anything I heard after it.

Re: My Chemical Romance - February 12th 2009, 05:48 AM

I've heard a few songs and they're probably one of the bands I hate the most, as well as the other bands similar to them. It always sounds to me like some guy crying or whining about some pointless nonsense in the microphone, which I really cannot stand. The guitars are decent, although nothing amazing either. Their music videos are just as bad as the guy's whining. I think that's the nicest criticism I've given of these boys in such a long time. And no, I have no clue which song it was I heard nor from which album, and I don't intend to flip through their songs to figure it out. I remember the music video having some really white pale chick and some wilting tree, with some black guy, and of course the singer whining about something.

The second album is the best by far. I love Helena. I used to have you know what they do to guys like us in prison as my ring tone.

I wasn't that keen on the first album but I can't say I've had a proper listen to it, Black Parade was good but it really doesn't compare to Three Cheers.

I can't seem to get into their music at all for some reasons. I only like Teenagers because it's rather catchy and I started miming it in maths last year

The songs I've heard I like. But I am not all that fussed on their music to be honest.

The fact they're so popular and 'hyped up' puts me off being a big fan of them, but i like a few of thir songs, especially Mama and Teenagers.

I like MCR. They aren't my favourite band, but I still listen to some of their stuff. I think 'It's not a fashion statement...' and 'I'm Not Okay (I Promise)' are my favourite songs of theirs.
I haven't really checked out too much of their newer music though.
I don't really like that a lot of people get a bad reputation for liking MCR at schools in my area. People shouldn't be judged by what music they like.

I loved their first album, but their new stuff,, not as good. They were my gateway drug to underground rock- so I won't talk bad.
If you like them look up The Used [their old stuff.]

I was a huge MCR fan tbh,
scarily obsessed,
but i dont know ... i got bored of them after a year,
they need new stuff out :/

I met a girl who hated the world - she used her body to sell her soul;
Everytime they'd break her and pay - tear out her heart, and leave her in pain;
I never found out how she survived all of the sadness she kept inside;
I never found out how she could lie with a smile on her face;
and the scratches she'd hide (8)

I enjoy a few of their songs. I'm not a hugs fan of MCR, but I listen to some of their music. They're pretty good, but I don't think I will ever be a huge fan. I listen to so much music that I very rarely get obsessed with any bands.

i like their music. not such a massive fan, but they're good =] i like both sweet revenge and black parade, but for different reasons. Way's singing is nicer on sweet revenge, for instance.
i really should check out bullets.
my all-time favourite lyric is "How wrong we were to think that immortality meant never dying", and my TH username is a sorta-quote from It's Not A Fashion Statement, "from the razors to the rosary, we can lose ourselves and paint these walls in pitchfork red" <3...

i think they're a band that represent s that feeling you get when you eat so much candy and you get hyper then run out coz some other kid stole your candy... like a whiny annoyed kid or something....haha.. their single desolation row was a revival of bob dylan's... for the watchmen movie... kinda like beat it from fob... which i kinda like more.

i was a fan but i grew out of it... i dont know. but their songs never fail to hype me up

they're an ok band, i've heard a lot better, but also a lot worse. to be honest i find them pretty over rated but that's just me.

MCR went too mainstream.
I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love was their very first album was amazing/awesome/etc.
Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge (album number 2) = pretty good
The Black Parade (album number 3)= turn it off
But there's hope! They plan their next album to sound like Bullets (the 1st album).
