MGMT - March 2nd 2009, 03:19 AM

I JUST discovered MGMT and LOVE THEM!!!
I heard Kids first and thought it was great. My favourite song my them right now is Electric Feel.

Anyway, who else likes MGMT?

A DJ I know just did a really cool remix of Kids vs. an Eminem song I don't really know.
Anyone else know some cool remixes?

[/fangirl]

lol. Just had to get that off my chest.

Absolutely fantastic band. Their album was one of my favourites of 2008!

I can't really think of a band to help describe them. If I had to try, they are sort of electro alternative indie. I think it's NY they're from, but they really are fantastic. Great live also I've heard. They do have one particular song on the album which is just acoustic guitar and vocals (I think) called 'Pieces of What' which reminds me so much of a music festival like Glasto or something during the 60s!

Worth checking out though, well depending on what you're into I suppose.

MGMT are good and I like their music a lot but they are a seriously over-rated band. Time To Pretend, Kids and Electric Feel are their only actively good songs, the rest are just bland noise.

Electric feel is so good!
