Half blooded prince - March 4th 2009, 09:26 PM

This looks awesome.

I was so upset that it was put back to june as i love Harry Potter, Fantasy films are my favourite but Harry potter really shows what Fantasy can do.
Nearly 18 and i like Harry Potter, May sound sad but i love it, It looks so good, Ive been waiting for Ron and Hermoine, Harry and Ginny to get something for a while now, and with it coming to the end of the series its really going to star to show, Never read the books myself but i love the films supposdly watching the films after you have read the books makes the films less good as they miss alot out so im not going to ruin it as i love the actors and characters that have been built, i will be sad to see Harry Potter series end, Just like i was with Lord of the rings (watched all 3 films 10+ times, thats more than 90 hours worth of my life, I can never being myself to watch the ending as i get so upset to see it all end, Frodo leaving with gandalf and leaving sam behind after such a journey)

Wow im soppy, lol. Im such a light hearted lad, But so angry lol

Cant wait for this film

Yeah I think the books are better and the films miss some things out but there are just some actions you can't portray on film.
There are also plenty of people here who are older than you and like Harry Potter (.Sarah. for example

I love Harry Potter too!!!!!!! The books have so much more details, plus I liked imagining it all myself. But the movies aren't half bad, I wish they didnt cut out so much... =\ Plus I thought the fourth movie was a little confusing if you hadn't read the books and such... perhaps not.

Ginny and Harry- AHHH SO CUTE <3 <3 <3

I just had a LOTR marathon in January lol.. Pipin is so cute

I can't wait either! I LOVE the books, and do enjoy the films. They are different to each other but are good in their own ways.

They film a lot of Harry Potter in Leavesden Studios which is very near where I live, so you always see when they build the houses and the quiddich pitches and stuff! It's really exciting!

Re: Half blooded prince - March 4th 2009, 09:42 PM

It'll be sad when they stop filming HP there, we always drive past it and try to see if they're filming anything there. If we see the houses being built its like "woooh its Harry Potter, we're so famous!"

You know in the Order Of The Phoenix at the beginning when Harry's in the long grass and stuff? Thats right behind my old house! I was like OH MY GOD, I tried to find my car but couldn't see it

I have actually, but you can't see much, they block off half of the roads usually.
They're usually at the other side of the studios that you cant really see.

But I did see them filming the playground scene, that was so cool to watch And I remember seeing all the huge lights when they were filming in the dark, you could see them from quite a distance

AAAGHHHHH Hannah that is SOOO AMAZING. I've recently gotten on a huge Harry Potter kick... my obsession with it ebbs and flows, but when it's there, it's THERE. I've read almost the entire 7th book in like 3 days, and I'm soaking up every word and finding all these new hidden meanings. I also am a frequent guest of Mugglenet, a website that's completely dedicated to HP and is AWESOME.

I'm sooo pumped for the movie. Did you guys hear about one of the actors in it getting killed?? (Not a big character, don't worry ;P)

Re: Half blooded prince - March 10th 2009, 02:12 PM

The books are infinitely better, although the actors really start to connect with their characters (not to mention the special effects get a lot better) in Goblet of Fire.

I view the movies and the books as two separate entities, although I didn't always view it that way. (I got so upset that Hermione never got her vengeance on Rita Skeeter in the movies like she did in the books.)

I've also accepted the fact that the WB is a business, and therefore they have idiotic executives who move around release dates without considering the fan base, and the fact that the fan base has supported them throughout these years. I'm still deciding whether or not to see HBP in theaters or not, since I'm so upset with them right now.

Oh, I love the Harry Potter movies!
They did such an amazing job with all of the special effects and all that in every single movie. Whoever directs those films must be extremely dedicated and talented. I love them all... and can't wait for the next one, of course. I still don't know when it's coming out though

I thought that I liked the book Twilight better, but they did such a better job with the Harry Potter movies, that even though I've never been to obsessed with Harry Potter, I'm a true fan!
