Wireless earphones

Hi everyone,

I hope you're doing well :)
I'd like to buy myself wireless earphones (connected with smartphone by Bluetooth). After doing my research I realised there are two types - small buds (like these ones):

or ones with this kind of 'stick'? No idea how it's called xd:

My bf has the first type and unfortunately they fall out of my ears. Sometimes the right one, sometimes the left one. I tried all three sizes of rubber and it happens with all of them. My bf mainly uses his earphones when sitting or laying, so it's not a big problem, but I would like to buy wireless earphones in order to do sports in them - which might mean sudden or repetitive movements, jumping, turning the head etc.
I wanted to ask if anybody here uses some earphones that they could recommend? Do you know which type would be better for sports and what's the actual difference between them?
Thanks :)
xx Sue

I don’t do extreme sports, mainly the treadmill, but ear buds fall out of my ears. What about headphones that go over the ears?

this may not be as relevant but I'm going to try to help from a different angle. I recently bought myself earplugs because of my noise sensitivity. The cheap ones never worked so I got ones that were designed with comfort and other intentions I mind. They look almost identical to the 2nd image that you showed, including that mint color! At first they'd fall off but then I read the package label and and it said to gently twist it until it is tightly sealed. You should not feel air coming out and it may take a few tries. I believe ear buds for audio would be similar. I personally find anything in my ears uncomfortable and don't usually use earnuds except once in a while I have borrowed one piece with a friend so we can listen to music together from her device. So I can't speak to a recommendation. But thought I'd chime in because it could be that the ones you were using that kept falling out can be fitted better into your ear.

That being said, I tend to not be able to tolerate anything in my ears for too long so I pull them out and when doing so, the same gentle twisting motion is important as well.

Re: Wireless earphones

Thanks to both of you. I am now leaning towards headphones that go over the ears, for three reasons:
- they won't fall off for sure
- they're more higienic and healthier for the ears
- stores in my country don't accept returns of buds because of hygienic reasons, so if I buy the buds, it might turn out that I spent like $80 and can't use them because they keep falling out :nosweat:
Still I'm a little concerned that ears might hurt after long usage of headphones, or that I'll be very hot and sweaty while doing sports in them (yuck, lol). So I'm still not decided.

Re: Wireless earphones

I've used wireless earbuds for ages and absolutely love them! Currently, I have the Anker Soundcore earbuds and they're the best I've ever had. They have great sound quality and, if this is something you're at all interested in, an app that allows you to change different elements of the sound, like making it deeper or richer. I did a little bit of browsing on their site to see if they had anything that fit your needs and they do have over-the-ear headphones, as well as earbuds designed for sport. The primary difference between sport earbuds and standard earbuds are that the sport varieties come with a little "wing", which is basically a hook that goes over the top of your ear to hold the earbud in place for sudden or intense movements. They're typically detachable, but it might be worth it for you to keep those on all the time if you have issues with earbuds staying in your ear.

I hope this helped! :) I've tried a lot of headphones/earbuds across different brands, so if you need any other guidance on these or other options, feel free to reach out!

I don't really use earphones or headphones simply because I don't like anything around my ears. :D

I use wireless earbuds with the longer bit because I find them less fiddly! If they tend to fall out of your ears you could try sports style wireless earbuds, either that go over the ear like suggested, or that are joined by a wire and go around your neck - e.g: https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/...AC_SL1000_.jpg

I don't buy a particular brand and usually find something cheap works for me.

Hope it helps :D
