Transferring The Sims 4 game data between computers - July 5th 2015, 01:15 AM

So, I recently got a new laptop. I was wondering if there was any way I could transfer game saves that I had from my old laptop to the new one? I had a legacy family going and didn't want to lose all of my progress!

Copy your entire (username)/My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 folder from the old computer to the new computer.
This only works for windows. I'm not sure how to do mac to mac, and I'm pretty sure mac/pc is impossible.

Yeah, you just copy the Sims 4 folder, paste it onto a memory pen or something and then paste it back into the same place on the new computer after you've installed the game on your new computer

I've transferred my saves from PC to Mac and it worked fine some mods didn't work on my Mac though for some odd reason.

I don't think it would work if you transferred documents and information designed for Sims (version #) for Mac/PC on the opposite OS.

In the past, I had games designed for Mac and when the Mac died and I got a Windows PC, I tried using the games on the PC but they didn't work.
