Teenhelp virus. - April 25th 2016, 05:37 PM

Hey

So my laptop got hacked into so I've had it completely wiped and had Windows 10 installed but I'm trying to get on to Teenhelp on it and it comes up with a red page saying its a malicious website and isn't safe because it can cause my laptop to have viruses. I've reported it as as safe and keep clicking to ignore the warning but it won't let me on.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

UPDATE:

Hellllo!

I have managed to turn my settings off so I can get on malicious websites but its still flashing at the top "UNSAFE WEBSITE". Why is this? After paying out so much money to get my laptop wiped, I'm worried about running the risk of doing this to get on here.

So yeah, advice would be ace.
Thank you.

Re: Teenhelp virus. - April 25th 2016, 07:40 PM

It's interesting that you say this, because over the last 3 days, every morning when I log in, and I check the 'who's online' page, my antivirus pops up saying it blocked a 'web attack: angler exploit kit website'. It only happens once per day, but it's everyday for the last 3 so far. I had a look online and apparently, that type of an attack can hide in advertisements. So I'm wondering if that's why TeenHelp flashes up unsafe for you?

I wouldn't recommend turning off the malicious websites. Depending on your browser and/or firewall, you may be able to enter TeenHelp as a 'trusted site' in the settings and still have the malicious websites turned on. Hopefully, that might work.

Maybe try AdBlock if you use Firefox.

It's most likely due to Java that TH's chat uses. I had that problem for a brief period some time ago as well. Went away on it's own.

I've had this too. It's been telling me when I've clicked parts of TH 'redirecting due to unsafe content' or something along the lines of that. Though I'm not sure why its doin this as its never like done it before.

There should be an option to ignore website and it wont cause you anymore problems. I wouldn't worry about it because TeenHelp is not a dodgy website haha you'll be perfectly fine.
