Headphone buying advice - June 5th 2016, 10:48 AM

I want to buy a new set of headphones as my old ones broke (they were really old )
I don't really know much about this kind of thing so was hoping for some recommendations. I want ones that are good (I listen to music A LOT) but aren't too expensive. I know Beats are rubbish and have heard Sony ones a re good but I don't know if they're too expensive.
Any advice would be gratefully received!
Thank you!

Hey,
I have Sony headphones, and they are awesome. Not very expensive, and since I listen to a lot of metal, it works brilliantly.
I thoroughly recommend them. I just ran a google search and they are 179 pounds.
The other brand known to be good is Seinheiser. But they are expensive.
Can you tell us what kind of music you listen to? Because that will help adjust the headphone type.

Seconding Sennheiser here. Running them for a long while now and they're as reliable and trustworthy as you can get. Previously had HD201, now have HD407 and both were incredible. They dont have a built-in mic, but thats only for better. Makes it less likely to break.

The risk I took was calculated, but boy, am I bad at math.

Thank you! I listen to a lot of film music for when I study and then indie rock kinda thing the rest of the time.
Thanks again!

Well, from what I know of Indie (not a lot), I guess the Sony could work. They really bring out the bass and guitars.
Other than that, try Seinheiser. Also, just remember, try them out at stores. That will help you figure out what you like. Also, remember to check comfort etc, because that makes a huge difference.
